Well I went and got her today and drove it home. As far as problems go...
No power steering due to a leak after being bottomed out(according to previous owner), Exhaust leak some where near the manifolds, slight shudder around 50ish when it go's into OD, Bad missing from the right side of the engine ( I pulled the wires of the coils and it appears to be either 6 or 7? it says both numbers on the coil? ), Lots of damage and the windsheilds cracked. Oh and one last thing.....cant do a burn out LOL.
How they trashed this car in only 80k miles I will never know but here she is:(

EDIT: The title states it is an LSC.... YES!

good find! hope she keeps you happy... and not to burst ur bubbly but its certainly not an lsc...

wow that thing is trashed. Looks like you have alot of work ahead of you. I hope you got it cheap. Every mark viii title says LSC.

+1.

Oh well, be ok as a winter beater once some of the mechanical issues are sorted.

Welcome to the Mark VIII owners Society.......lol....I dare say most of our cars were in some state of needed repair........some more, some less....congrats on your Mark find...

lol yeah my 93' on the insurance states it as a LSC i had a good laugh over it, the guy i bought it off of tried telling me it was a LSC with 300hp and posi diff. couldnt stop laughing.

Yeah its still cool. I wasnt really to sure on the difference between the 1st gen lsc and non lsc.

Anyways its going to be some work but thats kina my thing really. I like projects that come from coal to a diamond. I know a freind who owns a dent repair shop so he is going to help with the dents and what can be smoothed out is going to be filled with body filler. Nothing crazy just light smoothing. I just want it to be a decent car that can haul ass and hual groceries. Im going to put some cash into it and see what I got. As far as the paint go's im going to roller paint her.....100 buck paint FTW! Its got a weird exhaust setup on it but it hard to explain. Someone tried to put and exhaust on it looks like but did a :q:q:q:qty job. Maybe I will fall in love with these cars and sell my DSM and buy a nicer one...? Who knows.

I have to wonder if someone didn't just swap in a low mile cluster, that is way more than 80K looking at the wear.

agree'd
my 408,000 mile car wasn't in that bad of shape...something is definately goofy with that 80K

Was it the 95 or the 96 cluster that was known to go out at a certain mileage? Maybe this one has went out at some point for 10's of thousands of miles and then repaired. If not, there are some people out there that just don't care and they will treat a car just like it's any other kind of car. From the looks of it, who ever drove it, didn't care. It can be brought back though but a lot of TLC is gonna be much needed. I'd try to get a car fax ran on that VIN#
