got my baby back today after 2 weeks!!!! :dancefool:monkey::zgreenbou:wrench:facesjump Finally
I missed her so much. It felt so weird finally driving her again but it was great. The new rear bumper looks great, they matched the paint perfectly. They put in new rear sensors that are black, looks pretty sweet up close and they work a lot better than my old ones. My old ones gave me false alarms sometimes, but these work great. I got home today from the shop and found my LSE bumper waiting at my door so I picked it up and took it back to the shop to get painted. The chrome lower strip was in perfect condition, no breaks at all. Sucks that andrizzle had to go through a few of those but mine came in good on the first try The owner of the body shop is a friend of my mom so he is painting the bumper for free for giving him the insurance job. He is also painting the gen1 LSE spoiler and the eyebrows. I tried on the eyebrows before going back to the shop. I also painted my lower grille black a few weeks ago but never posted pics. I got the black cdc grille, black eyebrows, black bottom grille and carbon fiber license plate frame. It looked pretty cool. I might keep the look and also try color matched. I'll order an extra set of eyebrows to keep as black since I sent the ones I have to get painted. I'll color match the mclaren grille so I can keep the cdc black, I kinda like the cdc black, it's grown on me.I wanted to try out the black lse wing and black rear plate surround with black rear bumper insert (black tape just to see), but oh well. What do you guys think about the white/black scheme going on? Yay-Nay?
I can finally start installing my inventory of parts. I have the lse bumper to go on, lse spoiler, angel eyes, drilled/slotted rotors, new brake pads and ss lines for the front, new exhaust with black powder coated 4'' tips, Extra set of calipers to be poweder coated black with red logos are on their way, New cats and dyno tune. Eibachs and I have to order oem shocks to put with eibachs, plus new plugs for the dyno tune.
...............Oh and a soon, my sexy rims
Since I have my lse bumper now, I dont really have use for the square fog lights so I guess I'll sell them if anyone is interested. Bought them new from lsk a few weeks ago and put in ccfl rings in them. They are sealed with all purpose silicone adhesive. It's soft, heat resistance, stays flexible and is crack resistance and water resistant.Really easy to take apart if you want to get in them again for whatever reason. The angels work. Just took picks of them tonight. The fogs were 180 shipped new for both and 30 for the rings. I'll let them go for 100+ shipping.
I also cut one of my headlights open tonight. I thought it was going to be harder than it turned out to be, well first it was. I cut around the black lip and left the screws alone to be able to use them to hold the light together once I seal everything back up. I think Andrizzle cut on the clear part, not sure, but it seemed it would be a little hard to seal back up from there. Here, they will have a the flaps come down on each other to seal back up. I think it'll be easier this way to seal up plus with the help of the screws. It was harder to take apart but hopefully worth it by making the seal up easier. I'll get more pics of the progress of where I cut and the angel eyes installationa
