My LS in action! (Video)

No that's it M4rk, he just didn't stated when he made the clip,
I at first though he also just finished dinner tonight and uploaded his vid.

Lincoln_zer0, on the youTube page, directly below the vids, is a "share" button,
click it and change it to long link URL and click it to copy to clip board, then just
past it in the message dialog box and it will do the rest it self.

Ok, why am I not getting wheel spin on both sides like that ?
I gotta do something inside the diff and lock it ?

No thanks it M4rk, he just didn't stated when he made the clip,

Ya thanks. I edited the original post and said it was in August. Thanks alot bro.

Much respect dawg. Them wheels b spinnin hard

Ur girl must love ur car mayn

Just weld the differential gears together BigRig :D

Pretty sure someone already tried it, it didn't work out that well.. can't think of the name. It was a white gen II v8.

Hey zero, you should put that car on a dyno - I would love to see some real hp figures.

There was a gen ii with LSD. 02v8sport i believe.

He sold the LSD for like $1k before selling the car.

290-300hp? Thats a little opimistic dont you think?

Ah yes, Limited Slip Diff. ok thanks got it, same page again.

Can others smoke both rears while doing burnouts like this ?

I can do some mean 1's even with 255s in the rear. I want some 275s or even 285s...especially when my turbo goes in :D

Its YouTube, your not supposed to give low numbers ;)
Jokes aside, I would say, if she was brand new with these upgrades, then somewhere around 240 HP to the wheels.
Being high mileage, and abused by my driving, Im too afraid to dyno it =p hahaha

When I was younger, I used to think you add up the power you get from upgrades. So 252 stock + 15hp for exhaust, + 5hp from intake, + 25 hp from Tune = 297 Hp

You can smoke both wheels in an open diff when power braking. When you floor it with an open diff, the wheel with the least amount of traction spins. One wheel isn't spinning, so the ring gear is spinning the other one. When you apply the brakes and apply power, both rear wheels now have equal traction as far as the diff is concerned, so the ring gear will spin both axles. This is something to keep in mind if you get stuck in the snow, apply the parking brake then ease into the gas. A stuck open diff car will then start applying power to both wheels. The only thing is, with the 2nd gen LS having an electric brake that you can't control how much brake is applied I don't know how it would work. Now this doesn't mean brakes plus an open diff is as good as limited slip, limited slip is still far superior. It does give the open diff guys a little extra traction that might make the difference between moving and spinning.

Ok, so it is possible to get both spinning, I just need more practice.
Operator Error ?

Stops, you might have to teach me.

Lincoln zero I thought you had a genII? Didn't you trade that one in?

Ok this could get confusing so Ill explain it here.

Originally, I had JUST the Gen 1 (2002).
My aunt had a 2000 Lincoln LS (which I posted problems about, it made that grinding sound) which she ended up giving to me to keep, so long as I help her with moving some furniture. (cars body was rusted and in bad shape).
I traded in that 2000 Lincoln LS, and bought this 2005 Second Gen.

So currently I have a 2002 (The original one) And a recently squired 2005.

Heres a Pic of both:

Yeah, with powerbraking. Once both tires lose traction, they both receive the same power. Course, your brakes will pay the price. This is really for getting unstuck, not wasting rubber.

A traction lok is my next mod so I can do epic burnouts too ;). Actually, I need it for winter. Made some bank this week. Snow tires and lsd comin soon
