I snapped a few pics when she got out of the shower. I live on a gravel road and even driving 20 mph it was dirty already.

2001 LS 3.9 Auto w/SST. Charcoal(?) interior. Dirty, leaky lights.

Want to get new wheels, angels, clear corners, rear spoiler (which I have).

Another blank slate to make what the owner wants. I am beginning to get jealous.

Haha...I will take any all donations, just make them out to CASH.....

Yes the dealer stickers need to be removed soon, along with that Longhorn....sorry Texas, just cuz it came from there it's in Iowa now!!

One thing you can't see in the pics besides the side swipe on the passenger rear door is the black paint on the A pillars. It's oxidized and no matter how much buffing I throw at it they will not go back to black. I know it's something with the Ford paint, I have a 98 Expy that has the same thing going on with it. Maybe I will try to snag a few pics of that in the next few days.

I see tons of cars with faded pillars this isn't unique to ford. Just something that happens just like the paint losing its luster.

Might are keyed(previous owner). I have a roll of gloss black vinyl wrap waiting to go own...i might get to it someday

I almost hate to say faded, they are a bluish rainbow color......only on my black 98 Expy and the LS....my (wrecked)black 92 Ranger doesn't have this issue.

My lord I have 3 black vehicles on my property.

I bought new pillars and had them painted and cleared when I painted my car. You won't be able to get that oxidation out according to the guy who painted my car.

The LS is now in Iowa, better get the Longhorn off it--Love it or Leave it--- Go Hawks!!

Had same problem with wife's LS. Completed proper sanding, prime & paint work. Looks original 2 yrs later!

I have to repaint the passenger side rear door and molding....looks like these will get done too.

Same problem here, although not as excessive.

tell me something, how do these faded pillars come off, other then carefully ?
is it just a matter of slighly prying on one side until they snap loose ?

Anyone ?
how do these faded pillars come off ?
just start on an edge and start prying them off ?
how'd you guys get them off ?

god, no. there is a lot more to it than that.

First roll down your window, and then take of there door panel and remove the mirror, and then start to remove all the weather seals and then you will see all the screws you need to take out. then you will slide it off the back. I am not sure how much of that is needed as I was taking it all off to transfer to a new door, but you get the idea.

Sounds like some tape and news paper is a lot easier. haha.....

Looks like my weekend driver will be my daily for a bit....My F150 is acting up and I'm going to tear into that....working 10 hr days doesn't leave much to work with...especially with days getting shorter.

ever get those springs, Manoli?

Negative....it's crazy how i have not done this yet the mods and repairs pile on quick over here lol. Im thinking maybe around x-mas time I can get my wife to buy the springs,mufflers...etc lol.
