I have a car audio business and always considered putting an ipad in my dash. here are some progress pics:

Is it hooked up in any way to the sound system, like via bluetooth? Does it charge?

I am going the opposite direction, I am replacing the head unit with a cheap 10 dollar player with SD Card slot/USB in/Audio in/Bluetooth in/FM radio, as currently I use a tape adapter to bluetooth and stream Pandora or music from my phone, but also have 16 gig USB drives with music on them.
