My Enegine Is Hot As He#&!!!!!!!!!!!

i have a 05 ls8 and when i drive a little bit after my car has been sitting for hours my engine will get hot and the thermostat says its at a normal level, but when i pop the hood and check it with my hand its feels really really hot? does anyone know what could be causing it to get this hot and how could i get my engine at a cooler temp?

If you are able to touch the engine with your hand, then it is not even at full temperature.

Add some water wetter

It's a great product and will lower your temp. Also thin out the antifreeze unless you really need it. Water loses heat faster.

engines make heat. Unless your guage is telling you something is wrong - it's working as designed.
