I let my buddy drive my 96 LSC to get lunch for himself, his car is in the shop getting some kind of ecu work done (2006 sti).

He comes back, telling me how he had to get on it to pass a truck etc. He was amazed how a big car like that moved from 30-70mph etc. He said all i need is 4.90 gears and a 100 shot and i'd beat his chipped sti!!!

I was like yeah RIGHT eat your lunch lol. I don't know if they even make gears like that haha lol. Anyway how wrong is he?

I'm sure i'd need a new driveshaft, some tuning, 4.30's, 150 shot, jmod, high stall converter, WIDE rear tires...etc etc to even hang with a stock/chipped sti hahaha.

A stock STI will roast you from a stand still 0 to 60 in about 4.3 to 4.7 sec. rolling at about 30 or so it should be about a match depends on the driver. All around its like comparing apples to oranges. My wifes Mark will eat an STI for breakfast, but its modified 3:53 gears, cams, tune, stall converter ect.

Yeah but will the above mods beat/stay with an STI???? I'm guessing it would be a high 12 second car if you could get traction in the Mark lol.

PS if i had "4.30's, 150 shot, jmod, high stall converter, WIDE rear tires" what would the Mark run?
