My 19" Fondmetal wheels were destroyed!!

I will be looking for new wheels shortly for my LS.

I took 2 new tires to get mounted onto my 19" Fondmetal wheels and the wheels were destroyed! The mounting machine chewed up the lip really bad on one wheel and the idiot mounting the tires decided to have the machine chew up my other wheel as well.

They are filing a claim with their insurance to get me replacements but they dont even make these wheels anymore, I guess they can have them imported from Italy. But I may just get a different wheel all together.

I guess Ill start looking through the 10,000 wheel posts on this site to find my next choice. I was in such shock when it happened I didnt know what to do. I couldnt even flip out :(
 
Wow what luck. That sucks man... What about those 19 inch italian wheels they had for the Volvo XC90 we talked about before on ebay?

these are the ones I'm going to get. I've looked for a long time, and these were some of the best looking i had found. You can get them in 19's with a 42 offset...

Their insursance company will be contacting me. I will fight them to replace all 4 wheels since replacing just 2 makes the set useless anyway.
 
I'd wait for the outcome from their insurance company. If they won't cut a check then sue them for the cost of 2 new wheels shipped from Italy or the UK. I have found 1 UK site that sells them for 1599 pounds ($3191.36) for a set with tires w/o shipping. I also don't know if they ship to the US. Those are beautiful rims and personally I don't think anything looks better. Here's the link hope it helps

Anything I can do to help. You are one of the few that have been here a long time and do whatever you can to help people out. Figured I could try and help you for a change. Plus I love your car.:D
 
Thanks jolinc, you did help me out a lot. I couldnt find anyone that sold these wheels anymore.

I like it too, it's very clean and stock looking. That is the 19" size exactly too. I cropped it a while back overtop of your Fondmetals.
 
Sorry about your wheels. I recall when you first got them and were test fitting them onto your garage in your car. I recall you posting pics. Gorgeous wheels.

Anyways, Im sure it will all workout. I've personally always had good experiences with www.discounttiredirect.com and www.tirerack.com

Thanks, Ill probably take them to get repaired by a wheel place and just pick up another cheaper set like those XC90 wheels. This http://www.fixrim.com place looks like they can perform miracles on wheels. Mine are not nearly as bad as any of the wheels in their before and after section.
 
That's really messed up about your wheels man... Well, maybe you will find some nicer ones. It would be really cool to get some of the 19" BBS that comes on 07 S-type R or we should see whats up with the XF 20s, what's their bolt pattern and the offset. Now that would be badass.

By looking at the pictures, the offset looks off, but we still have to find that out.

Bolt pattern is same but not sure of the offset...
