Yup, have to keep it fairly sane. Their blowers don't breath well up top, like a turbo, or a centri does. It's a good all around gear, so you still have some top end.

Friend had an 03, and it would still fly to 120 like it was nothing. Imagine what would happen if they came with 4.10's. :lol:

That's what I was wondering. I would at least want some top end left and not kill the blower.

Exactly, Eaton last a long time....but not if they are constantly spinning at 4500rpm+. Don't get called Heatons for nothin'. :lol:

Also the guys who aren't big into racing would bitch about having to shift into 2nd before getting through an intersection.

4.10s in a Termi are useless. I know many guys still running their 3.55s that will blow the tires off at 80 and bark 5th. The trans is geared low and the power comes on right off idle so the car just dont need the gears. They hinder it.

The issue is similar with my SC, probably pretty close torque numbers and similar torque curves to a stock terminator... I have 3.27s and I do nothing but sit there spinning the rears through first and second, can't imagine what would happen with 4.10s.

What about the CTS-V and the Corvette base? What gears do they have?

I'm pretty sure they are 3.42 in both.
