What are the symptoms of bad multifunction switch? My HIDs have not been coming on all the time with the auto-lamp set, so I have been running with the auto-lamp off. Last night I turned on the turn signal and the headlights went out! Good thing I was turning down my street, so I only had to go a block.
I have already replaced the headlight switch when it started acting up, and the plug looks fine.

Anyone have any ideas?

did you previously do the mf switch wiring splice for your hid's? i.e. low beams stay on with high beams on?

My son just told me the same thing the night before last. He said he turned on the turn signal and the lights went out for a second. That's when he also told me the battery light was on. I put another alternator on so maybe that was the problem. I guess we'll find out.

I replaced my alternator a couple of months ago.

For an easy possible fix, I would re-pin the switch and spray it with some CRC electrical cleaner. Duck, you have a lot of the parts I had in the 93 and if you need a known good MF switch, I can send it to you for $25, free shipping. I was saving it in case mine ever went bad but as much as I drive, I don't see that happening anytime soon. I also don't use auto-lamp either. I just turn them on when I need them. If you decide you want it, just PM me and let me know.
