A bunch of 300 M's have joined. They WILL take on the LS. Not scared of us.:) I have three challenges with them going right now.

I tried to join "Rank My Ride". I never received an e-mail to activate my account. That was weeks ago. I just tried again. Server will not accept or receive e-mails from them. SO I am stuck with Motortopia.:( I would like to be able to go on "Rank My Ride" and support the LS Club there. BUT I can't even register.
 
i barely use my account and I have an extra email adress.. if u want.. i can make u an account... then i'll just make a universal PW and u can change it later

I signed up for a "Lincoln LS Club" on motortopia. It will take a few days to set-up. I will post a link to it for anyone interested. The club is open to ANY Lincoln. Not just LS's.

Asses like you that talk about taking pride in their LS. BUT lack the pride to back it up. Fellow LS owner, what a joke you are. Your a turd in a luxury car. You know what they say. You can polish a turd, but the owner still is one.:p

Hey look, am i an ass for that comment....yes. Dick as one other said....yes. But you need to understand something, your involvment in your LS is on a whole different level than ALOT of people, same with Vivid. You both do car circuits and compete and have loads of trophies and what not and like to show off. Thats cool. Not knocking that at all. My LS is a 100% stock 2005 Ultimate model. Thats it. Its a car that i get into everyday and drive a min. of 500 miles a week. If my commute was a short distance and the ride quality wasnt important i would go buy a Prowler or something like that. Its not "luxury" but it would be a fun drive. I spend hours and hours and hours in my car. So i look for comfort, convenience, safety, options, style. The LS fits that need, and has a cool and different look. But to be honest i only have pride in my vehicle in general sense. I keep in very clean inside and out. I keep it well maintained. Buts its not on a level where i live and die by the LS name and feel a need to defend it. Someone else doesnt like my car, good for them, i didnt buy it for anyones approval. So to your comment about people like me who dont have the pride to back it up...back it up to what? Whom? How? I think some of you take the whole ranking and comments and all that a bit too seriously. Is it all about bragging rights? Do you win cash? Prizes? Vacations? Wait a minute...you do win something, some car wax and cleaners. YEAHHHHH!! I just dont see the point. But thats just me. I guess i am just a turd in a 45k vehicle who happens to just drive it from point A to point B. Shame on me. And i'm not polishing a turd, i own a car that a big majority couldnt afford, it didnt start a turd and how could i be a turd in this situation. But the polishing bit could apply to you, regardless of all the lambo doors (which by the way are freakin ridiculous in my opinion) and chrome and woofers and custom this or that your still the same needy person looking for attention. But thats your thing so to each his own. No need to get all pissy at me for NOT being on the same competition level as you.

BTW Vivid and I have won a lot more then just trophies and wax.:D Cash, free tires, free brakes, etc.:p OH YES!!! FREE WEEKEND TRIPS!!!:p :D Both of our cars are daily drivers.:eek: I take my daughter to daycare in mine. Its still just as comfortable and smooth ride as it was the day I bought it. Get compliments all the time.

The turd comment was a discription of your poor attitude. The actual phrase is "you can polish a turd, but its still a turd". By no means is a Lincoln LS a turd.:)

As for me needing attention, I have been a car person my entire life. Fabricating, building, customizing almost every car that I have own. For me its pride in my work. I have done all the work myself. Thats where the pride comes in.

You look at your LS as a means to get from point A to point B. I look at my LS as a piece of artwork/individual statement of who I am. As do many other people that customize their cars. Sarcastic comments like the one you made will piss people off. BUT I am sure you knew that and did it anyway. You seem like a smart enough person to realize your comment was going to get a rise out of someone. Vivid and I were just expressing our feelings about your comment. We took it personal. Just like you took our replies personal. So at this point we can agree to disagree and move on.

BTW I wasn't being pissy. I was being a smartass.

I'm sorry for who you has to live with you. Everyone isn`t your clone. We all have different likes and dislikes. you need to learn to accept that. Just be grown about the situation, and not act like a 16 yr old kid. thats all i gotta say.

I think both your guys work and accomplishments are great. You have put alot of hard work into your car and have plenty to show for it. My smartass comment was only in regards to the "challenge" thing on the website. You guys have posted tons of thread regarding your car and the mods and all that. I didnt say anything because i respect that. But the one and only thing here that i think is dumb is the Rank My Ride and all that kind of stuff. People take that internet ranking stuff too seriously and calling it a challenge just got me going.

It is just for fun. Your right it is the internet. But on that site like so many others. There are groups/cliques you have to deal with. Vivid and I actually have BAD win/loses records. Many people come in with groups backing them up with votes. It does get annoying to lose to a car that you know for a fact wouldn't have a chance in e "REAL" car show. Sorry if the whole "challenge" thing sent you over the edge. But for other members its fun to do.

Thats it though. Why get so bent out of shape over something like a rating which you have no control over? What if some other car the guy is some dork still in high school and gets hundreds of people to vote. Point being those ratings and rankings are by no means any indicator of the quality or show of a car. To me a "clique" that goes around botching a internet clubs rating is total dorkdom in my eyes.
