This older gentleman had it in his barn sitting for 30 years.... it was full of oil everywhere...... after getting it home i realized how much of a mess the wiring was. he decided for some reason to change it to 12 volt from 6 volt. he almost had it complete, but was missing the contact point. anywho.

Here is the tank all done up pretty and such, i am going with a black and white theme, i have to many red and black themes the way it is.

Today i pulled all of the wiring out of the frame and almost got it down to the frame so i can send it to get sandblasted then powdercoat it black. i woulda got it all the way done, but i lost daylight

because this project is much easier and cost much less, and i can do the whole thing in my basement and building a car in my basement would be really hard to get out

a couple more pics of some peices all finished, only a few more peices to actually coat, and the wheels also, can't wait to see the turnout of this

Is that a Honda 305?
I'd love to get a hold of one of those. What a great old bike.
Yes, early 60's 305 Dream....63 if I remember right.
Bought it in 82.....Thanks.
Still starts with one kick.

Hey Ford Nut .... what happened to the other wheel ... why only one white wall?
Never replaced the front.....
Used the bike for years as a pit bike.

The yammie is lookin good Danny!

Well I found a ton of stuff out about this bike. I went to the local dealership and had them look up the vin #, it is a 1967 yamaha yl2 street version. Most of the yl2's were enduro's, mine however is the street version which just so happens to be rare, they did not have a production numberbut it was very small due to the big hype of the enduro's back then.

hey danny have the old man come help you. looking good a buddie of mine found an erly kiwo that he restored and sold to a guy in england for 14000 so you can make money. he has a copie of the check with the banker so its true

damn, ya i got the tank and handlebars on right now, i just need to get the cylinder bored for the new piston, then i can put the motor on and run the wiring, i didnt put the seat on yet because a torch close to the seat is not a risk i want to take
