Well I think I decided on this kit http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=2&Product_Code=OC-1679&Category_Code=hayden-transaver&Product_Count=3 I really wanted a 40k cooler with t stat. But the funds will not allow for that now. I figure the summer is commin I really should install a cooler.
I need a new radiator bad. I found one at O'Reilys with my discount for $140.00 no tax and a lifetime warranty?
Well I fiugure I would install the rad and cooler at the same time. The car is stock and will remain that way for at minimum a year. When I get goin with some big mods then I will redo the cooler.
Any thoughts on this Hayden cooler? Seems to look good. Can I bypass the "cooler" in the radiator with this unit (I am in TN)?
What else would be needed for the install? Will I need these fittings? http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=2&Product_Code=13024&Category_Code=cooler-fittings&Product_Count=6 Will I need one set or more?
I also found this http://www.bulkpart.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=2&Product_Code=708-4739 If I am reading this correct? Which most likely I am not. I can install this in the lines going to and from the cooler and it should regulate the install oil temp and bypass the cooler if needed? If so would this be worth getting?

Last cooler question promise

That Hayden cooler will be just fine.

You could probably go either way with the bypass question using that cooler, it would depend more on how often you drove in cold weather. If rarely or never, bypass it IMHO as it will allow the engine to run cooler as well. A transmission temperature gauge is a must when bypassing the radiator.

The fittings listed are correct. If you bypass the radiator, you need 2 sets(one set for each hard line). Otherwise one set will suffice.

The car is a daily ride. Summer time is commin up so nomore cold weather till end of Nov. I moved here at the end of Nov but it did not start getting cold till say Christmas time.
