Just to let you guys know the u pull lot in East beathel MN has 3 93 marks in
2 black one red all have gray interior one had the early dimpled intake tube.
 
Hate to ask a dumb question but what's the deal with the dimpled intake tube? Is there anything better about it besides the fact that they are sorta rare?

that's an early build 93 isn't it, so it probably has a w3z2 in it as well.

and the dimples, like golf ball dimples? make it more aerodynamic i guess. doubt it makes a big difference though.
 
Well I got the w3z2 for me but I have 2 w3z3's for sale.

I have a Z3 in my closet but I know for a fact that it will not work in a 94 with the Z4H0. All it will do when you turn the key on is kick on the cooling fan. It will not start the car. I figured it had something to do with with the 93 having TA and the 94 not having it but others say that's not the case. The 93 ran like a top when the computer was pulled, so I know it's not bad. It still has me stumped as to why it wouldn't work.

How do you like the Z2 or have you put it in yet?
 
Just picked it up today I replaced the original computer with a z3 a month ago and I think it had better throttle responce so when I saw the z2 I figured try it.

I would recommend it to anyone that wants a little more performance but doesn't want the price of a tune.

My thought exactly. I'm not geared or anything so I just really didn't see the need to be chipped. Just a little more aggressive is all I wanted and I have it.
 
Terry, gears are a must.
Once you put gears in that car you would wonder why you didn't sooner.
One of the best upgrades IMHO.
 
I'm looking around Kirk. Trying to find some cheap but would prefer to have no more than 4.10's but really looking for 3.73's with the tracloc or w/e it is that makes it true posi. I also need to drop my valve body now while my trans is in excellent condition and j-mod it, not only to help prolong the life of the trans but to accommodate the additional 15 psi of trans fluid pressure I have from the W3Z2. I believe that would all be a good mix.

If I had all of that done, I would probably take it to Huntsville Dragway and see what it'll do. Only problem is, the strip is only an 1/8th and not a 1/4. I guess it's still an 1/8th. I haven't been there since I lived down the road from it at age 16. I used to race my Honda 250R 3-wheeler there on the weekends but that was back in the day. None of that is allowed anymore that I know of. I also would prefer to have the exhaust done before running it to see what kind of time I'll have. Can only do one thing at a time.
