Drilled rotors

I scored a set of stainless braided brake hoses yesterday for free

I got mixed reviews on rotors and finally decided to go all out.

Nice score on the brake lines. If only I had been so lucky....

As long as you don't drive and brake "all out" you may be OK. Just keep an eye on them and check for cracks at each hole. The last thing you want is chucks of rotor flying off in an emergency stop

I spent the weekend tinkering on the Mark VIII. I did a lot of little stuff, but here are a couple pics:

I thought the engine bay needed a good sprucing up. Tell me what you think.

New R1 Concepts drilled/slotted rotors were installed on the front. Ran out of time to do the rear.

And last, but not least. I replaced the emissions tray with a freshly painted rust-free one.

She goes to the body shop for paint tomorrow. Can't wait for Carlisle!

I dropped her off at the body shop today. The driveway is so bare!

One more quick update. I got my 3800-4200 stall Torque Converter in from Roadrunner Converters. Can't wait to put it in.

Did you ask the converter guys if the could open up your converter.
I had my stock one opened to about 2800 for $170

I actually bought a brand new one from them already set to specs. Now I can sell the one I bought with the trans....
