Mercon 5 trans fluid ?

I called three Stealers (Two Lincoln and one Ford) in my area - all three said they only use Mercon V.

Does anyone have the TSB number so it can be quoted to the numbnut Dealers who dont get it?!?!

I dont have it handy but any Stealership can look it up.

all I know is that I had them look it up in the ford book and they still told me to use mercon. Even transmission shops that are eager to take your money told me to use mercon unless I was going to do a total rebuild. So thats what I used. I'm not saying you guys are wrong. I just chose to listen to ford/lincoln and follow my owners manual. Now for my engine oil I only use mobile 1 fully synthetic. The correct weight of course.
