was at an install today for work and went in and was working for a while, went out to my car to get a couple tools and the owner walks out and says " is that one of the new BMWs or Benzs?" i look at him and with a big smile on my face I tell him Nope, lincoln and its 8 years old. he was amazed hes never noticed one before. we talk about it for a little while before i got back to work, told him about all the fun things we have to replace or repair. good conversation and awesome compliment

Nice. Yea some non-auto-educated girls I know thought my car was a BMW when they first saw it.

well they were the competition...and so far we beat them at second hand scores :-D easier to buy :-D

Haha that's awesome. To think that the styling of these cars would hold up for 10+ years...

I dont think my car will leave my side until its completely smashed. or if it gets "totaled" by insurance...

Best looking Demo car I've ever seen...

Definatley glad i chose an LS. the onyl thing i would like to have changed is more knowledge when i bought the car, so maybe i would have held out longer and found a 2nd gen or known more about the problems and made sure the ford dealership i bought it from went through the trouble zones. but i really havent had to many problems with mine. 2 regulators, lower ball joints, rack and pinion, and coils. all easy things to figure out just not the chaepest. especially the ball joints.

the car is very nice and fun to drive
I keep wondering why Lincoln dumped the car and didn't come up with a 2009 model , v8 supercharged 490 hp , 19' rims , more aggressive and stylish , nonetheless comfortable inside .
ha ha ha , just dreaming

same thing here!

Lincoln did a lousy job of marketing and advertising the LS. Nobody knows anything about the car and that's why it didn't sell and the resale sucks. Even the name is boring. The Cadillac CTS story is just the opposite.

THat's cause the sexy girls in the 2009 comercials really shot it off. Before that even the CTS was "eh" but you'd think for a 30-50k LS that they woulda done more. Owell..means all ppl with a 2000-2006 has a collectors piece then....

The LS came out when SUV's were becoming the "in" thing. Lincoln focused on marketing the navigator.

Aviator is a fun car...to bad they didn't bother making a Lincoln version of an Escape...those escapes are reliable and get good MPG but those MKX are fugly and what's with the Alfalfa Antennas?

i drove one of those MKXs a few weeks ago, pretty awesome interior, comfy as hell, but i do agree they are one ugly ride. looks like the nose got smashed in and now its all short.

The interior is exactly the same as the for edge...they changed nearly nothing but a little bit of exterior and price tag......

MKX is only slightly more upscale of its Edge sibling. This Lincoln makes wise use of padded surfaces and genuine wood trim. Many of the other interior surfaces are dull, painted plastic that look nothing like the metal they are supposed to imitate. The lack of an available rearview camera is an embarrassing omission at this price level.

It's not as posh or refined as some premium crossovers, but MKX is competitive in power, size, and equipment levels. The question is whether the Lincoln brand has enough cache to draw buyers over from the prestige imports, or up from the Ford Edge, which shares the MKX's basic design.

no that you say it the silver plastic was very cheap feeling, didnt feel to durable. i was talking more about the seat then anything really

And the MKX gets a new competitor in Aug, when the new Cadillac is released. It is a really nice looking suv.
