McLaren search continues?

I don't know. Got the LSE grille in and I like it, it probably is the best choice for my look, which is meant to be more luxury than sport. But I stillll think I want a McLaren. Opinions?

i think it would look terrible on a white car, plus you probably wont ever find one, and if you do it'll be outrageous expensive.
 
everything looks better with an LSE bumper! tight looking car. i'd spend the money on the bumper and skip out on the mclaren. IMHO

i've searched and googled- but didn't make a day out of it. anyone have a pic of a LS with the mclaren grille?
 
Alax is a good example of a nice white LS with Mclaren grill, and LSE bumper. Thats the look that I want, not sure how its going to look with the color of my car though
 
Oh, no doubt, a LSE bumper would change the whole conversation. I'm really tryimg to stop spending on this one and start saving towards a black 06.
 
I had a McLaren grille for awhile, but ended up selling it a few years back and getting an LSE grille. It didn't flow as well as I thought it would since my rear surround is still chrome. The sad thing is I only sold for around $100 back then!
 
You just made a good point! I don't plan on getting rig of my chrome surround or accents so the LSE grill is probably going to be the best. I'm getting used to it.
 
IF you plan on leaving the chrome on then the lse will definitely fit better. So you're going to sell your white one for a black 06?

umm, right above your post man, thats my ls. Andrizzle has one too in black, pektel has one in white, stallone recently posted pics of his in black
 
You need to lower that thing first. I've got a mcclaren grill im thinking about sellin. Are these things getting hard to find?
 
Hell yeah! They dont come up on ebay as much as they use to. In the past 3 months a few have come up, but before that, there had not been one on ebay in quite a few months.

I can't help but think what it would like lowered with the RAZZi kit on it.:rolleyes:
 
I say Mclaren grille with black center, and paint the lower grille bars on your existing bumper flat black...

The car would definitely look nicer lowered, but I've been there and done that. No more. I do everything in this car so I can't be tip-toeing around and scraping and all of that lol

The next one I get will be a cash purchase (no time soon, believe me) so I would keep this one too.
I think tint, LED conversion and relocate that front plate and I'll be satisfied.
 
Pektel, your car looks so sharp and clean I never even paid attention to what you had done to the lower grille. Looks like it was born that way. Nice!

Thanks 05 LS8. I've been riding around with it for about a week now and I'm happy with it. I think I was expecting a bigger impact when I first put it on.
 
McLaren. I cant believe those things are that damn expensive now. Swear i only paid like $80 for mine way back when. If i didnt like 'em so much i'd take mine off and sell it. They have to be painted correctly though for a good look.

Not a problem.

It could be the chrome trim on the bumper that you don't like. On one hand, the grill compliments it, on the other it the chrome trim takes away from the grill.

See how the grill is more of a focal point on my car, without the chrome on the bumper. Not that I had mine color matched, but just to give you an idea. You can always have yours color matched.
