Just wanted to say I maxed out my ls tonight. Maxed at 134 racing a maxima. Gave me a good run till about 120-125, but after that ls just pulled on the max. It Defenetly felt like I could hit 150-160 without the limiter. Any way of removing it?

Please be carefull at those speeds, there is no surviving anything at high speeds like that.
Seat belt or not, blow out, pedestrian, tight sudden turn, other car coming onto the roadway at slower speeds, you will die doing 125+ on impact.
You will not be able to control the car at those speeds no matter how good of a drive you are.

Please don't take other peoples lives in your hands, not trying to come down on you.

I hope you are on the tracks cuz street racing at those speeds more then often end in fatals and usually someone is showing off and takes three of their friends with them.

Seriously, please be carefull. it's too great of a speed to survive and sh*t goes wrong in an instance.

I don't know. The LS was designed to run at a buck 40 all day long.

So be it ...

just keep in mind, that would be on road condition that allows for such,
plus when ruber tires loose traction and go off track, you're done at those speeds.

Roads were not designed for cars to be traveling at such high speeds.

it will end with a sudden loose of control, hitting curbs, flipping over and sliding into oncoming traffic or trees, poles and such.

designed to run a buck 40 all day until something goes wrong and you're
out of control and killing yourself and others.

not good, not cool.

Sorry, that line of text was meant to refer to the fact,
you will *not* be able to control the car *when* sh*t goes wrong.

I fully agree it will hold it's own in a straight line at those speeds.

scary stuff though, regardles of LS or not, speed kills.

~ did not mean to preach, just please be carefull and considered of others lives around you with actions like that.

how fast has someone got their ls to run with the stocker fuel pump?? op might need to consider replacing his if he plans on growing his career in the '10yr old entry-level luxury sedan racing circuit'..

Do you guys remember that story that was linked on here? 5 people in a gen I LS pulled over in Canada for doing 155 MPH.

sounds like somebody has never been on the autobahn... where you better not be in the fast lane if your only doing about a buck thirty. still safer than any highway around my house.

Yeah, but those are Canadian MPH. That's only like 105 in the States. :D

The good 'ol Autobahn. Spent 3 years over there. Once the wife and I rented a BMW 3 series to take the kiddies to the Frankfurt Zoo from Ramstein Air Base. We were haulin' it along, going about 125MPH (had the pedal buried on the floor) when we were passed. I think it was a big Mercedes. When it passed it sounded like a shotgun blast right by the driver's window, and it tool about 5 seconds for him to be so far up the road I could no longer tell what kind of car it was. He had to be going at least 180MPH.

About a half hour later, we had to slow down for an accident. A large Mercedes had hit a large BMW in the back. Both cars were about as long as one of the cars before the accident. In passing, I noticed a curious shade of orange between the cars. It was this color orange.

The radio later reported it as a 3 car accident. The bug had been behind the BMW when the Mercedes hit it. All three cars couldn't have spanned more than 20 feet from front bumper to rear bumper. I don't think the Bug made up more than half a foot of that, it was totally crushed between them.

As soon as we cleared the accident, we were right back up to 125MPH (200KPM according to the speedo).
