Awesome swap! Nothing nicer than n/a big block power, imo.

that is sick, i'm in love. i used to take my mustang to lebanon valley for wednesday night test and tunes when i lived in massachusetts. i miss it there, my brother in law is there almost everyweek. he's got a rediculous 99 pontiac gtp thats down in the 11.90's with a supercharged 3.8 and you say that big block is running low 11's lol my brother in laws gtp is one scary ass ride for a front wheel drive 4 door grocery getter. thats a sweet looking mark though bet its fun on the street!

I've ridden in a GTP that ran 12's, really REALLY Scary! They torque steer like mad with all that power and slicks.

Total sackreledge, totally not right, not supposed to be, bet he ditched the air ride too. Bet he doesn't change points often either. JMHO

I knew a big block would fit in the space the 4v's gigantic heads take up... hmm...

There are few T-birds with FBB running around,so it shouldn't be a problem to put one in the mark viii as they have pretty much same engine bay and K member. BTW I bet 4.6 with power adder gets lot better MPG than N/A 540,he's probably getting less than 10 mpg with that size engine.

All that work and he cant even fix the lincoln badge on the back. Its cool but I would have to agree with ford nut put a 429 CJ in it! betcha it would kick the chevys ass.

I looked both those stickers up and couldnt find anything more on them. I would like to see the underside of the car, like the exhaust and K-member.

Yeah the Only thing that is lincoln on that thing anymore is the body, interior, and front end suspension, the rear end is Swaped out with a 9 inch rear end, and I guess from what the Guy told me they are goin to Put a procharger on it next year to try to get 1000 HP out of that Motor and he is getting some better wheels I guess 2, next time I go I will get some pics of under the car and whatever else I can get I thought everyone would like to See this car so I Had to Post it

i can tell its got something other than the factory irs in it because of how narrow the rear wheel base is. if it has a 9 inch in it chances are its probably got at least a partial tubular frame, at least a back half. chevy motor or not i dont care, i think its cool. i dont know what it has for a motor in it, i cant find the motor pics i had, but this mark is pretty sick looking too, but this one is on a tubular chassis with a fully tubbed rear. something about a prostreet mark VIII gives me a chubby. this guy actually sent me these pics thru email because he bought some parts off me for his street driven mark VIII, its the same thing they are both deep jewel green!!

Heres a Couple More I might have some more on my friend Camera
The Merc is his 2 has a procharger Supercharger kit on it with some Engine mods and that thing was doin some 12's i was shocked because it was a heavy ass car but I guess the Guy has alot of money to put into these things and he does not even drive the lincoln the guy that build it races it for him

yeah right the green one has a slow beat cobra motor in it, lol my car did not make it to the road this yeah :( I have it all apart still, getting it ready for a JMOD, 3.73 gears or 4.11, and some engine mods with power programer.. except no money because I just built this thing for my boat.. could of got a nasty Supercharger for the Mark VIII for the price of this motor

sacrilegious!!!! i hate when people do crap like this, like seeing a nice old ford with a fkkin 350 in it. sure i put a linc eng into a bird but all still fomoco

Cobramarkviii, nice lookin jetboat, i had that exact same setup (eng, manifolds jet drive, exactly the same just blue instead of gold) in a old deep v tom sauyer that it should of never been in, still once she wound up i took off, till the starter shorted on and melted the battery (still on the trailer)

sweet old school checkmate cobra, here's a boat you would cry in, its my buddies deaver pickle fork top fuel boat with a 468 chevy on it. i've never gone for a ride, and never will!!!! the motor puts out just over 600 hp and it has a 250 shot on it as well.

540 is like 8.94 liters right wow

Think thats a big car specific crate motor? Check out the one by World Products!

I agree with others here, putting a GM engine in a Ford product is abit odd, would have made more sense to use a Ford crate engine. (if one was intent on a big block)

Still, i like big engines - nice sound! :) I would like to get a big engine one day, and build a car for it, as a long term project.
