That is a very nice bow.. Since I have pretty much jacked this thread, how do you like the drop away? I'm shooting leagues (60 arrows at one shoot) so mine is dialed down to about 60#s.. I use a PSE stabilizer and Toxonics target sight. And I use Easton SuperSlam with cheapo tips..

I was looking at the Trivan Pro rest..

If you're shooting tournaments, increase your poundage to lower your trajectory. You'll need to get your arrows weighed first. I can shoot 20yrd and 30yrd with my 30yrd pin and only have 1/4 inch difference. I love to drop away, it's the only way for league shooting. Theres 0 resistance on the shaft, so that allows me max fps :-)

Ratdog ill pull them for ya and ship em if you can wait til the 12th.
 
I got classic car insurance for my '77 Mustang, and historical plates... now that I think of it, I could get classic plates and may be collectors insurance for my '85, '88 mustang... and my Mark Viii!!! LOL and in another year, my '94 GT!
 
If I can get my body work and paint done the way I want I'll up my ins too. Im thinking of the original Nordic Blue with a pearl, but like Laser I want everything painted, so it'll have to wait till next year, I'm wanting lsc bumpers and I have the side trim already. Would love a perfect rear window but doubt I'll ever find one in a salvage yard.

With the target sight.. I can hit 5/Xs almost every time.. I need a drop away through because after 25 arrows (because I'm not shooting right and I know this), I start torquing the bow and get a few misses.. Some people were :blah:ing about no support of the arrow and whatnot..

I actually have to shoot a 5 spot because I'm pretty accurate and I have recked the nocks on 4-5 arrows..

This was a 50 yard shot, I've shot a snuff can at 100 yards 3 out of a dozen. I love this bow, it's super quiet and with the left-off I can hold it forever
 
Since I don't have enough weight, she won't go through the nocks.. Just shatters them..

Those 'parallel' limb bows are REALLY quiet.. My aunt owns an archery shop and she shoots in world tournaments.. PSE is her sponsor, hints why I have a PSE.. ;)
 
I used to work at the bow shop here in Waco for a few months last year, learned alot and got loads of archery stuff for free. I've done a few small 3D tournaments in my local area, nothing major, but I took 1st a few times in the Compound Hunter class :-)

My got my first bow when I was about 8 and took 1st in jr hunter for the RA (Royal Ambassaders of Texas)sp when i used to go to church events. I didn't even realize there was going to be trophys until the RA leader handed it to me at the meeting a few weeks after the event, saying "apparently you wandered off and won some stuff" we were there for a "soap box car race" haha. I threw my little wooden car in the trash after it lost and roamed, found some kids shootin bows and the rest is history.
 
I am pretty high in my tournament (spot leagues) right now.. I'm at about a 299-300 with my handicap.. I keep increasing by a few better points every week which will keep my score up there.. Because of my misses (last shoot I had 50 points worth of misses), I usually shoot a 240 or so.. :cool:

I may try 3Ds this summer.. I just need to get me some cheap arrows I won't mind loosing.. lol
 
My highest score on 3d was a 327, I have no idea about score keeping,
I didn't care much, was just there for the fun.. I haven't had any time in the last 2 years to go to any tournaments, and I shot all my goldtips thru that car, so they're ruined. The set was over 4 years old so it was time to trash em anyway before I got one stuck thru my forearm -flex em first-!

The main thing to worry about is your form, once you get tired stop. You'll sacrifice form for comfort, thats where the bad habits start

That's the only problem with target shooting.. Top row shoots, Bottom row shoots, then you check them.. Repeat.. It's back to back so you never get a break..

Thats odd, my wife used to say the same crap every night before we got married 17 years ago. I lost count how many times I have blown my back out. Should of listen to her back then.:(

Na, after all these years, we schedule our affairs a month ahead of time, that way I can get the viagra ordered and the pain pills for the back. On a budget. HA
 
Like on 'Fun with Dick and Jane'.. They almost get to the point of no return (lol) and she says 'We're going to have hot steamy sex.................. On Sat..' :lol:
 
How long have you been shooting? Keep in mind, the muscles in your back used to pull a bow, only get worked, by pulling a bow
