I'm planning to get another Mark the coming weekend after searching for a while. I found a cheap 1994 Mark VIII not too far from me which Im planning to check out on Saturday. The car seem to be in alright condition for its price, but it has one major problem, its color is "rose mist" which is probably the reason why its so cheap :D The paintjob seems to be in a good condition for its age but I am not sure if I really want to drive around in an purplish pink Lincoln for a longer period of time so I'm probably gonna repaint or vinyl wrap it. Vinyl wrapping it would be cheaper and conserve the original paint, its pretty rare after all, the problem is, the door jams and stuff would stay purple...

Up until now I though black or a very dark grey would look best on a Mark VIII, until I found the picture below. I always liked dark red cars and the Cordovan of the Collectors Edition cars which I assume it is just looks brilliant. Anyone driving one here? Post pictures of Cordovan or similar Mark VIIIs to help me decide whether its the right color for mine.

Yeah, white looks good on quite a lot of modern cars, Im not a big fan of white 1st gen Mark VIIIs though. Kind reminds me too much of fleet vehicles.

@Lincolnboy: Nice one. Keep 'em coming!

The rose mist one got a black interior, but I still got the saddle one from my other car I might swap into it (or maybe just the front and rear seats, depending on how its gonna look like).

Black interior for the win! I kinda wanted a rosemist/black or china blue/black mark before I got mine.... but I like my midnight opal/black car..... with NO sunroof. Lol

Off topic.... I actually like the way the long foreign plates look on our cars.... dunno why. Id like to find some foreign plates to hang on the garage wall...

I gotta say I prefer the tan interiors in a Mark VIII, thats why Im still not sure whether I will keep the black one in it or not. Both would fit a Cordovan exterior. Both the rose mist one and the champagne have a sunroof, lets hope the car Im gonna see on Saturday isnt too rusty...

Hehe yeah, imo the american size plates fit it better but it looked alright on the front. It had short ones in the rear because they wouldn't fit otherwise. The rose mist one will have short plates both in the back and front. I can send my old plates if anyone got something interesting to trade:D

Deep Jewel Green is an awesome look, with a black or Mocha interior.

Never liked green cars although I'm pretty sure it would look much better in person, seeing Marks in that color on google images. I like the color/rim combo:

The rose mist one got the same wheels. I'd rather have one in Cordovan though.

That's deep jewel green , I posted that pic a while ago, looks much better when its cleaned up. Here's another green..look at my sig pic, it changes colors depending on the light.

Deep Jewel Green is a really nice color.
At first I wanted Deep Jewel Green but because of the poor choices when buying a Mark Viii in Sweden I had to go for what's for sale so I found a Willow Green one. And I'm in love with that color.
Even though it's not as good looking as a Deep Jewel Green I must say that the Willow Green makes it look a tad more luxurious. The whole color itself just looks abit more luxurious. Difficult to point out why.

My cousin rocked a rosemist Mark for years and loved the way it changes colors in different lighting. It's an adjustment, but worth it in the end. That being said. Black on black is the way to go unless you want to try cobalt blue....

I'm with you, personally I think that black or dark metallic grey suits these cars best.
But the Cordovan IS beautiful.
I also like the Dark Charcoal Green (I think that's what it's called).

Ausserdem, wilkommen in LVC! Hab' ne zeitlang (ca 11 jahren) in Deutschland gelebt, mir fehlt es immer noch.

Hah, good to see someone speaking German here:D

Yeah, I probably wouldn't swap out the whole interior in the Mark as long as its rose mist. And like I said, I'm aware of the fact that its a rare factory color that seems to be in good condition so it would be a shame to destroy it. Thats why I though about vinyl wrapping it, it wouldn't damage the paint but I'd still have the problem of having rose mist door jams once I open a door (I dont really care that much about the engine bay having a different color). So if I cant find a solution for that problem I will have to repaint it I guess.
