Ok silver94 bought some underdrive pulleys fom a local seller and before installation I noticed this. 180 degrees from the keyway it looks as if it's been smacked with a punch or air hammer. Does this look kosher to you?

That was done to lock it to the shaft. Its fine but gonna make install a PITA.
 
Does it slide on the shaft flush, use a laser to check belt alignment, I don't think it'd be too much of a prob IMHO
 
So I am gonna need airtools huh. He gave 100.00 for the water pump pulley and the crank. I think he should just get his money back. what do you think?
 
Airtools no, locktite yes...does the WP pulley look ok?
 
Yeah the water pump pulley is kosher. But the crankshaft pulley has that eggshape to it. I already don't like the guy to boot that he is buying the shat from.

Mo seems to think that it will work it was the pulley that he had on his mustang but he is supposed to call me when he gets off work and i will have him look at the pic and tell me if thats what it is supposed to look like.

If it were me, I would bring them to a local machine shop and have it checked out.

Apparently you haven't met silver. He would wind up in jail. And the kid probably wouldn't ever leave his house again.

Also, I have a machine shop here in L-town I use, but that might be a long drive for you guys.
 
Mercury LS is a good dude. Not the person this stuff was purchased from. I don't know his name but I do believe he is a member on here also. But from what I have heard he has sold the car and should not be a pest anymore.
