Mark 8 Muscle--Speedstar Center Caps

We are working with our vendors on a new center cap for the Speedstar Wheels on the Mark VIII and wanted to gather opinions. We are looking at making the Lincoln star in chrome and wanted to know your opinions on background colors. Black seems to be the best with chrome and Silver wheels...Let me know you all think??

Is the Lincoln Star raised or recessed?


I was thinking if it was raised and the rest of the cap was chrome then the center parts of the star red like the stock Lincoln Star then it would look really cool.

Center Caps

They will be made using polyurethane with the 3D look of the emblem under the surface. We can use the red inside the star or just the black background. I can check on a chrome background if there is enough interest.

Oh, these are stickers? If so I am not interested. If they are caps then I would have to wait and see what they look like.

Speedstar Caps

They apply like a decal but are not thin. You would remove the tin plate that comes with the wheels on the center caps and apply this in its place (remember it is also a stick on piece of tin). They are the same type of emblem used on the center of the 05-09 Ford Mustang. The material is made for outdoor use and we are told they will stand up to 7 years of direct sun.
The biggest problem with the wheel is the odd size of the hole in the center at 2 3/8 it is difficult to find a cap to fit.
I am always open to ideas.

I dont have my original caps any more and have no idea what Geno did with them. The caps I have now I really dont like and the stickers are pealing off.

I I think a recessed lincoln star on like a brushed aluminum cap would look cool
