i looked at leo cerruti's build up of how to make a cai. will that work on a 95 aswell? that looks like a gen 2 in the build up. where can i get a good, bigger MAF for the car that will work with this project, and what size cone filter will be good? i have no clue, need some help here

why do you need a bigger maf? stock is more than enough for a stock car.
a cone filter will do you absolutely no good unless you put it somewhere where it pulls cold air. like from the fender. like the stock air box does.

A bigger MAF wont really help much. In fact I have yet to see a dyno every prove on a Mark that it did. If there is one, someone post. The reason is the Mark breathes very, very well. Its the exhaust end that is restrictive. And not to mention, the most restrictive part of the intake is the throttle body anyway. So if you get a bigger TB, combine that with a bigger MAF (and intake track of course) and have a better exhaust setup, then you will get some gains.

And for the record, I installed a Cobra conical filter. I think it did more harm than good.

oh, i didn't know lol. and i was going to do exactly how the dude did it in the link, so the box covers it. but if the stock airbox is very good, ill stick with it. i don't even see the TB under the hood to be honest, well i never looked for it. bigger TB would be cool, would have to look to see whats the right one

lms has dyno'd their 80mm mass air, but it was also an accordance with an already existing exhaustsystem good for 18-22 hp, also with a program to make it all work together, air, fuel, exhaust. by itself it's around 2-5 hp on cars that the breathing is restricted, like inhaling through a straw.
