You should a taken the factory valance off, then it would look very good. I was thinking about this but in all the pics I see it don't fit right at all. Nice job on being different tho.
Maybe, well I wish that we could get someone to actually make something like this that would fit directly on with out the rippling and twisting that I always see. I cant wait to see some daylight shot cause this one does look cleaner than any as far as the twisting goes.

When i bought my car, the factory valance was gone and just I put a Mach 1 lip on a few weeks ago. It looks good, but i wish i had the factory valance on too because it sloops downwords in the front. The lip is thicker in the front then it is on the sides. IMHO, leave the valance on (But if you decide to take it off, i'll buy it!)

It really looks like crap with the factory Valance. It don't flow even at all with it on what so ever. It adds about an inch of material more than the side skirts. IT DON'T FLOW! I love the look and idea but really it dont flow and someone needs to figgure out how to stop them from beeing all twisted up.
Hyelife is right it does look cheap, but it can look way better.

take the factory one off then put the mach on there. it will look factory then. you will have to screw it to the bumper but you will like it much better.
I did take some better pictures in the daylight, but the camera sucks so they're not the best but it looks better in person because of the shadows and whatnot. To answer some things, it doesnt look cheap at all. I guess its a factory oem part for the mustang so the black plastic its made of has the exact color/texture of the factory LS valance....its all Ford plastic so it matches pretty well. Next in regards to actually removing the factory valance all together...I dont know if there are any differences between 1st gen. and 2nd gen. bumpers but it actually adds alot of structure and support for the front end. There are a bunch of screws that not only hold the valance but alot of other plastic crap underneath, there are slots in the bumper that the valance clips into that isnt on the mach 1 spoiler, so there are some things that i personally didnt care to change and mess with. I instead chose to just directly attach it to the bottom valance. The sort of plastic used in both pieces doesnt adhere to double-sided tape so it all needs to be riveted or bolted on. As far as it being wavy or twisty like someone was saying...bottomline is the shape of the spoiler and the shape of the LS bumper are not exact, its close but it has to be cut and shaped to fit. Mine is perfectly straight and only follows the contour of the bumper. I drove it today on the highway up to about 95 mph and it held up fine, that was my biggest worry is that it would get ripped off at high speeds. All in all it changes the look of the oem front bumper in a sublte way which i kinda like. If at anytime i wanna take it off it'll be about a 10 min. job and its back to stock.
They arent expensive and i would recommend going to your local Ford dealer and see if you cant work out a good price. Alot of websites show $84 and such but it costs alot to ship it, so i'd check on the final shipped price if you decide to order it online. If its still in its orignal FoMoCo boxs its in a big 4ft rectangle box, it wouldnt fit in my trunk,so thats one thing to keep in mind. It takes some decent skill but i'd say totally doable. I got mine on eBay for $119 shipped.
*One other thing...if your LS isnt black or maybe dark grey i wouldnt recommend it. It sticks out too much on the lighter colors from what i have seen. With a black car it matches and blends in a little better.

Looks good! I asked a while back about if this item would fit on my '06. I think that I would have it painted and molded to the bumper so it would look stock.
The side shots look great.
Garbone, I think it would look odd if the chin spoiler was put on our cars without being painted... IMO.

It's a little to long on the sides (hits the tires) and the sides bend in to far. But it is extremely flexible so bending the sides out is not an issue at all. As far as it hitting the tires, you need to cut each side, and if you want, fold it in at the ends to make end caps (thats what i did). Just read the instructions and you'll see what i mean.
My LS is not lowered (yet), but i do have eibach springs on the way (should be here in the next few day). The only time it scrapes right now is pulling into my brothers drive way, but if i pull in slow or at an angle it's fine. Speed bumps are not a problem right now and the springs will only lower it 1" so it should be ok.

Is this thing hard plastic like the factory valence or is it flexible? I know Corvettes have rubbery spoilers on the bottom of their bumpers because they are so low. They are fairly hard but bend right back to original shape if you accidentally hit something.

blue ls im going for that look. i messed up my factory lower valance so this is a perfect excuse to tell the wife this needs to be replaced

They are extremly flexible. Mine came folded up in a 8"x20" box. I got it from stangmods.com for about $100 shipped (and they are in maryland, so i got it the next day, Bonus!)

If the factory Valance is black, then why would it look odd on other color cars? I think it looks good on any color, its on Mach 1's in any color.
