It seams like I have heard it more than a couple times, when a couple members get together, things start to break. Here is my story:

Went out to "Go Fast Get Tickets" today to replace my rearview mirror. We start by cleaning the replacement and looking it over, so we could see how to go about taking my mirror off. We put the good one on and it doesn't fit snugly, not sure why. Anyway, we decide to disassemble the old one first to see how easily it would come apart. Surprisingly, it come apart with out much of a fight. We changed out the mirror itself, put it back together and installed it. DONE, RIGHT?

WRONG!!! His curb is kinda high as you pull into his driveway, so I had adjusted my module 8 and had it up higher than I have ever had it before. On our second trip to the downtown area, as I turn right, we here wooosssssssshhhhhhh! we look at each other and kinda go, what was that, both of us kind of knowing, but I believe in denial:D

Then we realize the nose is setting down, it's setting in the 70's hotrod stance. Fortunately it would pump up enough so we could get it back to his place and parked.

Again, good fortune managed to shine on me. Tim had a driverside strut in the basement, as well as many other parts all around his house and 2 car self standing garage. (I really like your set-up Tim)

I'm just getting myself back in shape from being sick, so Tim was a total gentleman and jumped right in to change it out. I drove it about 20 highway miles back to my place and it drove perfectly!

Thank you Tim, I owe you big!!:gr_hail:

I know of a couple stories about members getting together and having this type experience to some degree. " momma told me there would be days like these" Anyway, you've been warned!! Proceed at your own risk!!!

Seriously Tim, Thank you very much!! Despite everything, I really enjoyed the day and working on the 57 2-door post. Talk to you soon:)

 Thats how it always goes! I was worried about running my Asham all the way up but for these back roads I have to on certain stretches or slow down to 30mph and I cant drive that slow. I was woried cause I didnt want to blow the bags like you just did but then I realized with the sensor lowering I did that it would be safe.

Anyway, so far every time I got together with another LVC'r it turned into a repair fest.
With XLR we worked on some tuning parameters with my new software. Then when I met GMAN it was to dissasemble the 97 LSC. Met SVO and it was to install gears. Met Twinbipo and overhauled his front end. First time Sapperfire came over it was to work on his doors, next time for wheels, next time for suspension, next time for k-member, next time for brakes, etc etc. So every time I get together with a fellow LVCer its 98% of the time to fix and/or remove something.

Still love this place. Jermy, Tom and Jeff are some first class friends to have even though they have no class. :p

Seriously though, they are people I would trust my car with and thats saying a whole lot. :)

Beer helps :) Your more than welcome Greg, like I said "Better 1/2 mile from the house that on I-635"! I love that kinda stuff, you know being a "shadetree mechanic and all" :D. Just glad we had the big vise grips and the 4 lb sledge :D.

Come back anytime! And once I get the 57 squared away...like the plate frame says Get In-Sit Down-Shut Up-Hold On

Later bro! And like I said, anytime ;)

I really enjoyed it Tim! Bill, as for the strut, I knew I had a slow leak in it. I knew it was under the lip of the bag. I was a little worried at first when I raised it up that high, but I was driving it around and it was holding just fine. I was going about 5 to 8 Mph and turning right, that was just enough stress on it and she gave up. I'm sure if I would have keep it at 1/2" lower, I would still be driving on that original strut. Oh well!!

I flew from IL to CO to help some fellow lvc'ers. It's a good time for me, nothing like getting a little dirty.

good job kc and gofast!!

Thats why LvC rocks, we all started as strangers with the same car (ok well most of us) and we have formed a fairly tight knit family. Most loyal LvC'er would give their shirt off of their back to help another in need. In my six years Ive been here i have never regretted signing up. thats why i got the lvc tat, im doing things that have inspired me in my life and i feel LvC has made me a (little) better of a person. heres to joey:Beer

:D So you had to say shadetree mechanic huh?:D Looks like it was a great time and I would stayed for the shrimp for sure. Don't mention food around this starvin' fatkid. Good job on the parts save Tim, and do you just have a whole 8 in your basement?
