Darn Drivers side door handle broke awhile back, geeesssss have been going in through passenger side , went to Lincoln to ask for price quote they want like 380.00 to fix thats just too much, especially when all my problems have been through no fault of my own, my first major issue was my stering colum fell to peices in my lap one day when i entered the car it auto sets itself and it just fell flopping in my lap that was a 456.00 cost for no real reason, then oh my front low beam headlight went out , I was lucky enough to get a use headlight assembly for 200.00, really caught me offguard when the parts guy at the Lincoln dealership said we don't have that in stock and was only one in SC in the entire country for 256.00, I was discouraged with that info figureing I would rather buy from Ebay or a junk yard before paying 256.00 for a light bulb. Currently I am looking to fix that outside drivers side Door handle, once I get the part I know a guy that does work very cheap and afordable. On a better note love the power and comfort of my Lincoln is sweeeeeet , I bought this car from My Mom it was only 10,500, at the time with only 23,000 miles on it, now more like 55,000, is a 43,000.00 car but would be lucky to get 7000.00 for it today isn't that ashame.Anyway any good ideas on my ivory with a slight pink tint door handle? Oh thats one thing cant stand about my Lincoln has been called the Mary Kay car several times, Oh Man?

I use the handle to pop the door open then pull it open from the top of the door, the black trim piece to the right of the window makes a crispy sound from whoever owned it before pushing too hard on it :( so I also shut it from the top of the door

Open mine the same way from the top of the door.
I'm sure one of my kids will break the door handle sooner or later

$380 is f*cked!!! you can get just the handle (usually the part that is broke) not the assembly for around $60ish, it will need to be painted and to swap it isn't that hard

I got the same problem. I have a 96 Ivory, driver's side door handle snapped. $40,000 car, $2.00 door handles. Dude, $380 is weak. Go on E-Bay, pay $25 bucks shipped, and just get it painted to match. Yes, Ivory Pearlescent is a three stage expensive paint, but I bet ordering it off E-Bay and having it srpayed would be cheaper than $380.

Getting in through the passenger side sucks, I know.....
