I have an 05 LSE with the 17" 7 spoke chrome wheels. The chrome is peeling right off behind the spokes and looks terrible. Ive been looking on ebay and craigslist for these rims forever and cant find any. Are these rims super hard to find? I dont want to get them from the dealer and pay an arm and a leg. Am i better off just saying screw it and buy a set of aftermarkets?

Is there any way to stop them from peeling without completely stripping the chrome off? None of the chrome on the front of the rims is peeling so if i peel the flakes off and somehow seal it with something it wouldnt look as bad.

I can post pics later if it would give yas a better idea.

I currently am in the process of looking for a set of the 17" five spokes not in chrome to us as winter rims. I have the Chrome 17" 5 spokes in chrome right now on my car. When I bought my 06 ls8 back in Feb the tires were almost bald so I put new tires on and where the tire seals the Chrome was chipping causing air to leak. Cleaned the edge up and I was all good. However I don't want to put them through another winter. So that's why I'm getting a new set not in chrome and then I'm going to get them black powder coated. I feel your rims are to the point of no return. This site is where I've found them the cheapest so far. They also have the 7 spoke chrome rims your looking for as well.

Hope I helped. Good luck to yea.

Yea that is probably the rarest wheel that came on an LS. (Only 04 and 05 LSE models came with them).

You can probably try the sealing thing. If not just either save to get them redone, or maybe look @ the 8 spoke chromes that came on the 03-05s. They are the same wheel with an added spoke, and a non-lug showing center cap (A lot of LS' had these).

Ford T-Bird had the same wheel as an option, minus a different center cap.
