LSE tails installed

Yeah i was gonna comment on that before mark did....theres a small gap that
should not be there.

I like the LSE tails, but not really feeling it on white. I still think your trunk needs to latch a bit lower or be aligned better, btw.

I tried messing with it but I couldn't get it to close more. The the screws on the trunk on to move the trunk from side to side and a little front to back, the screws on inside the trunk raise the back of the trunk up and down but it wouldn't latch down any lower. I even moved the screws on the inside all the way up, the back of the trunk was lifted about 1/4'' of an inch but it lached the same, so I just return it to it's original spot. Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Bugs me too, i'll attemp it again soon.

The skirts look great! I think you already know my opinion on the LSE all reds - but on lighter cars I can stand them a lot more than darker...

Do you have your amber LED signals still in them?

For some reason the LSE tails scream "TOWNCAR" to me... People think our LS's are for old people enough already, don't needem looking like towncars! lol

Amber LED bulbs are still in there. I need to buy red ones soon cause it's looks weird, a red light lighting orange.

looks good...what do you think about debadging it?

Dont really like the debagded look, the rear looks "naked" without them. I may get them powder coated gloss black or onyx coated though. I'll probably order an extra set to get done and see if I like it instead of taking mine off and doing them.

Alax,

I think they will grow on you, but I would keep the originals for a while in case you change your mind or like you said, so you can change it up evey once in a while.

When I first got my LSE, I considered changing them to the standard two-tone taillights because I thought they looked better and would break up the all red rear of the car. But I have gotten used to the look of them so I decided to keep it stock.
BTW, the factory turn signal bulbs in my LSE are amber.

I just noticed that gen one has two brake bulbs and gen II only has one.

No they don't, there are 2 tail lights but only 1 brake light(see pic). Outer bulbs are dual filament but the inner is a smaller socket w/ a 194 single filament bulb.

Oh...well the genII doesnt even have a bulb at all its just a reflector.

Yeah I'm getting use to them too. I like them more each day I walk up to it. Thanks

Yeah, that is one thing I want carried over from the gen1... Was it really so tough to make the gen2 trunk lights, actual lights? Though it looks pretty cool @ night, because our tails or very distinctive.

mtggmtmgm, I'm assuming you rigged up those third brake light LED strips yourself?

It was probably cost effective for Ford just to stick the ambers in all of them.
They are actually supposed to be clear. When I bought my LSE tails, they came with amber ones too, but I switched them out with the clear ones.

I wonder how long I have had these lights in front of me and never finish them.. I need to make some boards so I can finally finish these LED tails..

I guess other things come first..

What should we call ppl who say they are going to do things to their cars but never do :p.....serioudly though, we need a word for that if there isn't one already.

Oh and my lse tails came with amber too, but I'm thinking of getting red ones.

Poor. I would know, I'm one of those people.
