Has anyone heard this or know what it sounds like? this is what i am thinking about doing to my exhaust...i don't want it too loud but its not loud enough. i heard taking the resignator / H pipe out helps but haven't heard that with just stock exhaust.

i have a single magnaflow muffler with built in x pipe in place of the resinator and straight piped back from that and its a deep throaty sound, not loud at idle, but can get loud at WOT. I love it. My next step is electric cut outs. Maybe next year......

If you want some nice sound you'll probably need to just get rid of the crappy stock mufflers. Getting rid of the 3rd cat/resonator and then adding in an X-pipe with some magnaflows should give your car a nice growl without making it overly loud and annoying.

Same here. One Magnaflow X-pipe resonator. Dual 2 1/2 in and out. Love it but Lazer had one and said it burn out and got loud and droned in no time. I think on the last exhaust thread someone else had a Dynomax X-pipe resonator and I thought it sounded good. And maybe it last longer? I like the X-pipe resonator/muffler design for function and it doubles as a drive shaft loop of sorts.

Hey, an exhaust thread! Never seen one of these before! :p

H is cheaper and will give you better low end power.
X costs more and will give you better high end power.
Both should sound about the same with stock mufflers so it's up to you to decide.
