HAS ANYONE ELSE TRIED DOING AN LS1 SWAP ON AN LS OR ANY OTHER KNOW ENGINE SWAPS OTHER THAN THE LSX THAT APPEARS ON THIS SITE. IS IT HARD TO DO, IS IT THAT IT COST TO MUCH MONEY. EXPLAIN YOUR REASON? .

Mine is in a process of getting a transplant. Not an LS1 motor though. It's a hybrid motor from a Infinity M56.

Should put down about 397hp and 350 torque.

Yep, the 5.6L. I am also having them swap out the tranny for 9 speed SMG transmission out of the Infiniti. And, it should average about 96.9mpg.

For real tho...I just swapped in a donor engine from a wrecked Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport. Its an 8 litre W16 puttin out 1200hp. It was a bit tight getting it in the LS but with some minor trimming it fit great!

Just finishing up my swap from a sherman M4A3E2 Tank. While the engine was hard to squeeze in the cabin and still be able to maximize the guns swing capacity, the tracks were simple to get done.

Now that NASA isn't flying shuttles anymore, I was able to pick up a couple of SRBs (Solid Rocket Boosters) dirt cheap. It's pretty sick how fast I can get down to the Dollar General now. Only problem is I take up 2 parking spaces...

All kidding aside, DONE RIGHT, A lot of time and even more money for not much more of a gain, That is a stock LS1. it does open the possibilities down the road, but that would cost even more... most with that kind of disposable income, choose to put into other projects.. But hey, you could have just won the mega millions for all i know.

One day, when i become SUPER rich (only regular rich right now ) I will waste the money on a two door LS.... one day
