I just came from the SEMA show in Las Vegas, spotted an LS with a Cobra 4.6 5-spd TKO in it. This car was wild, rear rims were 19x12 all carbon fiber rear door skins and all four corners, with a cowl hood to clear the Cobra engine.
Anyone know of this car? or has done a 32 valve engine swap?

Also what jumbo rotors fit the car, Cobra?

The car I spotted was a spin off of a Ford project from 2003 that never caught wind, the shop who owned the car was a clutch MFG from North Carolina. I will post pictures when I get them published.

Oh yea, Hello I am a newbie to your site!

I would have kept it regular not widebody on the stock 17's.

Gave it a bit of that sleeper look.

I'm guessing they did it to fit the 9" rear end in there too. Could be wrong though. Plus the cowl hood would give it away too. I see what you mean though. I'm not a huge fan of the widebody either.

seriously though, have you seen the pictures of the rear end and tires that are in that thing, the wide body was most likely a must have, plus wider stance means better handling.

Yeah looking at it i can see why they had to go widebody.

I just got ls back today from the bodyshop and im very happy with the results. No more ugly front bumper! Now i need to go get my exhaust tips and pony up some cash to do my hood and grille.

Well, that is no LS drivetrain either though.
i think he was talking more about the body

I doubt the LS can "handle" 900hp.. Its a show car, thats about it.
that means that its time for a cage at a minimum or maybe its time to convert it to a full tube chassis.

hell ive seen a few 700hp - 900hp late model mustangs handle it well, so there should be no reason that the LS cant.

Yep.. Especially that it doesn't use anything stock.. Different engine/trans and rear end.. The only thing that you would have to worry about it chassis flex but I thing that the LS is pretty chassis strong.. imo
