Watch out for deer gentlemen. Its that time of year guys. Local paper just ran an article about deer strikes. Watchout and be careful. Don't want anyone getting hurt or anymore LSes getting totalled. Drove by a group of deer on the side of the road tonight.

I second that...or is that third....I have deer in my yard some days....there hasn't been a day I haven't seen deer on my way to or from work. All the corn is down and they are out and about.

Also at least here in Iowa...the coyotes are everywhere.

Seen 3 in the last few weeks...say one again tonight.

Also don't worry about "blinding" them....it's better too be able to see them first and react calmly then have your lows on and it's too late.
 
Yeah I grew up in a farming (well used to be, now its mostly subdivisions) community and there are freaking deer everywhere. I hit one in my girlfriends minivan a few years ago. Got the van down from 60 to 20 by the time I hit it so it was pretty minor luckly. Just remember, DONT SWERVE, not only do you stop faster when stopping in a straight line, your likely to go off the road and do a hell of a lot more damage to your car and yourself
 
Dim lights only when you see a deer near road. Those bumper deer wistles never work.
 
I see more deer, racoons, and possums on my way home from work at night then I do people....

Actually, Hunters use them, they place them backwards to attract the deer.

seen it a million times here in Kansas.... Once, they're in the road it's too late... keep your eye's peeled off to the sides and tree line. Best offense is a good defense (just ask the Eagles) lol
 
It's even worse right now during deer hunting season. There isn't any regular schedule for when they move once the shots start.
 
Just another quick tip....not just to deer, but anything.

Keep your cell phone in your pocket. In a roll over or even a ditch ride it will not be nice and safe in that cozy cup holder.

It's best there any ways...stop that texting/sexting.....haha

although there will be alot more movement right now, you will still have the majority of your movement in the morning (bedding at noon/afternoon) and moving again in the afternoon/dusk. If you know where your public hunting land is, be careful around those areas and any rural highway roads.

I live in a small town in northern MN. Town is DEAD right now, because everyone deer hunts. I have pissed off customers because they can't get an installer for 3 weeks. None of them want to come out of the woods lol.

While I agree that there is still more movement at sunrise/dusk, the deer are confused as sh*t right now. There is a TON more unpredictable movement (relative to normal) during all hours of the day around here.
 
Most of the strip of I-81 from Hagerstown to Martinsburg (@15 miles) is getting widened to 3 lanes and there are 4-5 deer laying against the construction jersey wall in both directions now.

They don't call them BAM-bi for nothing...
 
you would think that it would be easier to hit a deer with a 3000 FPS+ projectile. interesting enough, its much easier to hit one if you slow it down to about 55-70 MPH :rolleyes:

Well they seem to be really good at jumping in front of the slower projectiles, the fast ones are just too fast for them to get in front of lol
