ls v8 symbol vs. ls symbol.

i have a 00' ls8. my 00' says LS on the back right tail light. i work at a car wash and see alot of cars including many LS's. a lady came in the other day and had a 00' ls8 with LS V8 on the back right tail light. im wondering why my 00' doesnt have the LS V8 instead of LS only.

anyone know why and on which cars the LS V8 emblems come on?

any info would be appreciated... thx.

that was unique to 2000 - no V8 or V6

My 2003 LS V6 doesn't have a call out on the trunk, is the V8 the only call out for the second gen cars?

i have a 2000 V8 and when i got it it came with just the "LS" like all 2000s did, so i bought and added the "LS V8" badge.
