LS rear seat to couch mod

I don't know how many of you have ever sat in the back seat of your LS's, but they are sooo comfortable! I know I would do it now and again just because it was nice to sit back there and relax with some music bumpin'. Well while I was tearing apart the rear deck to get at the third break light for someone I ended up having the seats down and had to also take off the sides of the seats near the door. I then had a great idea. I am going to take out the rear seats and make a couch out of them! I might even leave the "hump" seatbelt for fun. So soon I will have a LS couch! I will do a write-up in case anyone else has some rear seats laying around......or if you, for some reason, don't think they serve you any purpose in the car and would rather have them in your house!

They are much more comfortable than the front seats, it would be cool to have for a couch in your garage or workshop.

You know I just thought that I could kind of box out the back a little bit so that I could use the fold down feature and store stuff in there!

And these would totally go in my apartment!

As you may or may not already know I've been raised around Ford Mustangs my entire life. Ever since I was little my dad had subscribed to Mustang and Fords. A particular article that stands out to me was one someone had sent in on the owner stories. One person had written in about an all original Boss 302 that had been in their family. One night I guess they were driving it when they got caught in a bad rain storm and the car ended up sliding through a guard rail and off an embankment totaling the car. They said the only thing really salvageable was the back seat so they turned a it into a couch for their basement and sent in a picture of it with their story. Ever since then I've always wanted to do it (build a couch, not total a Boss.) I definitely would have to agree on the LSes back seat though, it's one of the best I've sat in.

cool idea! I will be interested! I love unique things like this, but will defintely not be using MY LS's seats! LoL
