My LS is leaking oil. I got underneath the vehicle to find the source of the leak. I noticed that there appeared to be a missing bolt on the driver side of the oil pan. Can anyone help me with this. Am I missing a bolt? I have attached a picture to the area. Thanks

Oh boy, a V6. Pan gasket replacement on them is very labor intensive (if that's what it is).

If you mean that knob directly under the oil pan, that looks like a mount point for something and not an open point to the oil pan. If you were to install a turbo, that looks like an ideal point to tap and drill to install the turbo's oil return line.

The only way to truly find the leak is to have the engine cleaned and then look evidence of the leak.

That could also be compressor oil or refrigerant; how's your A/C doing?
