I have found that ebay has a few people selling the coils for the LS. They are cheaper than rock auto. I know a few people have bought coils off ebay and had good luck, any opinions on if these are decent quality or not?? I like a good deal, but also want a decent product.

well to be fair enough, a lot of people has had problems with "Ebay coils" but then again A LOT of people have had problem with OEM coils also, so its pretty much a lose lose situation.

ahh.... I see. So is it better to loose on a little money or more??

Sorry, there seems to be no clear answer there. If you buy them from Max, they cost a little more, but you will be getting the latest rev of the coil. The latest rev is supposed to be more reliable, but I don't know if it really is yet.

i know me and either 1 or 2 more people have had luck with global automotive

i have an 06 with 80,000 miles, no issues so far. Max has told me that there are different #'s for the Coils, and the 06 has the most current. Perhaps if other 06 owners could comment?

Just wait these cars eat coils for breakfast !!! So I've heard lol I had to change my coils after I bought my car but others have had some major issues with bad coils.

So knock on wood while you can..

I've had an 06 since new. It now has just under 70K miles. So far, no coil problems, but the first one on the 04 didn't go out until 60K miles or so.

I bought all 6 coils off of ebay about 8 months ago and have not had any issues with them at all!!!! I paid 120.00 for all 6 included shipping and they were going to cost me 50.00 a piece at the dealer.

I've heard that some of the ebay ones are motorcraft. What I worry is they are the older revision motorcraft ones that are more prone to failing.
