Politely, joegr, let me suggest that you read 'Land Speed LS' first and then join the conversation. If you want to do the same sort of swap that is involved when you replace a radiator cap, you're correct in your evaluation. Not otherwise.

In regard to shocks, Sully, it's necessary to make adapter blocks that change the LS mounts to accept the Heim ends that come on race shocks. It's figured out, but I haven't had time to do it yet!

A different block, heads, and intake at the least.
The LS engine was somewhat derived from the Jag engine, but it is not the same. I don't think the Jag block will mount to the LS transmission, and the LS electronics can't handle the Jag heads (different valve timing controls), or the intake.
