LS gave me an Excelent suprise today

I sold my FD mazda before the Evo's hit the streets and i KNOW it would kill those damn things even the WRX...those were the boost gods ( IMO). Mine was AT and noone knew why they allways mocked me but after they found the most expensive upgrade was a new clutch and fly wheel every year they finaly figgured it out.

Thats why I like the select shift on the LS you can drop it and shift up like a 5 speed but its stronger....

Could have been a clone GT. Or seriously weighted down with wings and stereo stuff. Just saying its a quicker car, not gonna kill you, but should always win.

Unless its a older M3, late 80s M3s weren't that fast, but for the time...

They hit strong boost at a incredibly low rpm. They run low 13s stock. And would kill the LS at any speed unless there not trying to hard.

99-04 GTs should pull everytime on you. 05 GTs should walk you pretty easy, autos less than manuals. Older Mustangs 98 down are beatable by the LS but its not a killing. Marks and Marauders should hang fine on the highway, you can beat them from a light more likely.

Nope the Mark and the Marauder both have too much torq and gears the Mark has 4.11's in it and the Marauder has 3.73's(I think) for me to get them off the line plus the 3.9 makes it's power higher then the dohc 4.6

Now keep in mind thats it's only on the highway that I can best a 99-04 GT there nothing special what 265HP stock. I've wiped the floor with a 96 TA (but I could do that in my t-bird) and one 98 M3 they'll all destroy me off the line every time no ifs ands or buts. Also remember that with intake exhaust and SCT so I'm in the 300-320 range same as all of them and I know the LS is lighter then the Mark the Marauder.
 
Nope straight GT the only thing weighing it down was the wing...but it was another ummm I wouldn't exactly say cheater win but it was a select shift win..LOL

You see he started to pass and there was a car in my lane so I went behind him and when it was just right I dropped into 3rd and took him down. Now you see these are street races where anything goes and not like on a track there is traffic or even the opposition that you can use to a advantage point.

And I have been in those multi races with M3's and other cars and even stock with a guy in a business suit not even trying I got stomped.

Keep in mind two thing im talking about going from like 70-130 not from a light and Mid late 90's M3's only had a 240HP I6 the GT's before the new one are not that fast still just a sohc 4.6 with PI heads rated at 260HP even assuming ford understated the HP more then normal its still less the 300. and its not that much lighter what 3400 lbs vs the LS's 3700 lbs. look at the numbers a stock 03 LS vs a stock 03 GT the LS should win from about 60 onwards just based on the numbers.

Best time was a 14.3 at Moroso's $hitty a$$ track in 84 degree wether I only got to make 3 run's first was a 14.5 second was a 14.3 and the third was a 15.2 cus I f'ed up shifting. never had it on a dyno but the software calculators I ran say Im around the 300-320 mark at the flywheel with all my mods and figure a starting point of about 260 for the LS and you'll see it all adds up.
 
Actually giving my exp...he ( silver02sport) might be underrating himself..I only have a exhaust and a blitz CAI "filter" with the adapter ( factory tube ) and I can get those same jobs done...now he has more mods than myself, well the SCT and if I can win by a hair or a light bulb in my head when the cars speaking of are modded them self, then I think he should be able to do more then what he even states.

Maybe even you are underating yourself as well...:D
 
Going to have to show the proof. Heres a run with just Intake and exhaust and no one with a Gen1 has shown proof of better.

Im confused...we were talking about cars on the street to begin with but with out offending you what does this prove I am honestly missing something..No offense.
 
The top slips there was a head wind which reduced my trap speed. She would have ran 14.4 that day without the head wind. I have the Xcal2 now and am shooting for 14.2.

Proof is proof. When people claim to run away on cars that it quite frankly isn't possible to theres really no proof so whos to say it happened. I guess I don't believe as most won't. I have the same equiped car and I know I'm not spanking some of the cars listed. Cars don't run any faster on the street.
 
Hey regardless of your lap time....I know I beat those cars and so does the other guys that state they did as well...like I said this is on a street not a strip ment for that purpose anything goes on the streets and I am sure you are aware of this as corny as that saying sounds. On the streets you go further than 1/4 mile, you have traffic to draft as well as the opponent, and in rare instances or not sometimes uneven road....I know I might get beat by those cars on the track but I know I beat them that one time on the street.

Ok what a min I dident see this before. You run .2 slower then me with less mods, then you say your shooting for a 14.2 after you at best equal me in mods (unless your spraying) .1 sec better then what I clam and you don't believe me.

At first I was insulted, then I released I should thank you just pretty much just confirmed what I'm calming.

Oh and what about ambient temp, humidity levels, elevation from sea level these all have a major impact on what you run.

Yes some cars do pull harder as they go and just aren't great 1/4mile cars. However most of the said kills were at higher speeds and the LS is good but not great up there. For example the 4.10 Mark, its going to have one he11 of a strong top end and having one with stock 3.27 gears I know it'll stay with and even pull on my LS at the higher speeds, so with 4.10s I can't imagine it having problems pulling. I said the named Mustangs should beat but if you could pull on some older models it wouldn't be much and definately not going to kill it. EVOs and the Turbo Subs are just faster than the LS period. I don't consider catching someone off guard and beating them a kill, fun, but I couldn't say I whooped him.

Drafting on the street? Come on. Your hitting the gas first and that gives the advantage.

Alls I'm saying is try to keep it real. If you ran a auto 99-04 Stang with your mods to his stock and got a car length...awesome. If the guy was eating a burger and you waved and gunned it with his right hand occupied...cool, but not a killing.

I want nothing more to get some respect for the LS as its faster than most think. Faster than I thought.

exactly more of what I am talking about...besides just the street factor but like I have said I give you my argument for now for the fact I have no proof.:cool:

Like I said my kills arent on track day when people feel the need to have the car in tip top condition to allso begin with..IE. fuel...oil..tires...the need to shift as best as they can.....cleaner air filter. Now I drive a LIncoln so I feel it needs to be in good condition everyday or it just aint right to me...I clean my filter when it needs to be...I change my oil everytime it should be...those are very little things but they all count to me...just like the headwind did to you that day...

Exactly, in that heat your times are fast. I ran those times in 45 and 50 degree weather. I didn't say the car can't do it, nobody has from what I've seen. Gen2 guys have posted 14.2s several times.

What ever ....LOL it can count just as the head wind can on the strip, Im not makeing this out to be Nascar either. Burger?...as I said he was the agressor so was the EVO...and I also stated that they could have been cheater methods to those who can only hang on the strip.

Well the temp rating was just from the LS I very well could have been more like 78-80 I don't know how accurate the LS's outside temp sensor is. But dam I swear she'd brake into the 13's if it ever got that cold.

Was it moded? There was a guy where I used to work with an intercooled twin turbo kit on a 96 he clamid it made over 500 HP but could never show any dyno slips. Ill tell you this tho I did watch him take a 03 Z06 by about a car length and a halve.

One thing thou. When claiming quickest time for a car. Proof is needed. If a 03-04 Cobra guy says he ran 11.9 stock on street tires on a Cobra board, people will say prove it. I'll be the first to eat my shorts if I hit a 13.9. Going to need cut-outs for that LOL, don't intend to do that thou. Once I feel I've hit my best with the LS, I'm switching to my MarkVIII for racing.
