Is there anybody in the Va beach area know of a good shop that will do work like lowering the LS? The places i've been to will not do work on it at all.

I think most have done it themselves. Get a buddy and you should be able to tackle it in a few hours

If you do it yourself use an air impact wrench with the spring compressor. It will save you a ton of time and muscle when compressing them

Yea I knew it sounded retarded as I was typing it, but I was just that lazy to not give a fuck, haha.

so 2 ands and a beer and a spring compressor and friend and some eye candy.

Anyone have springs installed at a shop and about how much did it cost? Couple hours of labor or more?

about 300 ands worth....

but seriously depends on the shop and what you are changing...i have a guy who works at a pro shop....but makes some cash on the side and is gonna charge me maybe less then 250 to change my springs, all 4 shocks, 2 lower control arms, bushings, sway bar links, install the camber kit, and change the alternator while he is under there.

Damn. All that for 250? There has gotta be somethin else in this deal lol jk

i did my own on the front and it wasnt hard just time consuming, i didnt use my impact for what ever reason and looking back i probably should have lol

i got quoted at 500 just for the springs, and then told me it would be almost double that if i wanted the shocks because it would take almost twice as long to do both, even though to do the springs you have to take the shocks off, some one is pretty slow lol

Yea and actually it is quicker to do both, because you can leave the old springs on the old shocks. And have someone taking off the stock strut assemblies whilst someone else compresses the spring onto the new shocks.

If anything, it should be cheaper, but when it comes to mechanics working on cars, they make a thick buck @ every chance, can't blame em.
