I would like to lower my LS. I see some of you have, they look good. Any suggestions on parts and manufacturers to use? Also what was the ballpark cost for all components? A buddy of mine is a service writer at a local auto shop so I can just give him the parts and the car, labor will be done at a discounted rate.

to piggyback your question, how much would an install run?
You shouldn't pay more than 200 for install.
The available options for springs currently are:
Eibach
Intrax
Sprint
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I listed them in order of how much drop you will get. Eibach claims the least (1-1.1") Intrax claims about 1.4", and Sprints claim 1.75". Specific lowering amounts wil vary depending on a number of factors of the specific vehicle.

I would go with the Eibachs. They do drop it a little over an inch in the back and an inch in the front. My car dropped a little more than an inch in the front and about 1.5" in the back.The ride feels about the same. IT handles really nice and looks better with not so much wheel well showing in the back.I haven't had any trouble with wheel scrub or anything. I have stock 17" wheels and tires. I got mine on line from California for a little over $200

+1 on eibach.. that's what I have. I know that Quik has some sprints on his. I think his LS is the lowest. If not Quik, then RollinLS.
You could/can find a full set on ebay, but if not, order from the factory. Install around here in houston is about $200-$250...
OR
You can do it yourself in about 3-4 hours.. But then again, you'd need another able body to help, spring compressor, lift (optional), and the ability to read some step by step instructions.

i was looking online and found a lot of different prices from like $250 to almost $400 for the same springs. for the eibachs that is. i found a shop not to far from my house for about $250. can't wait for my tax return to get here....

i have a set of intrax I'll sell. I like em and all, but i want to come up a little bit for tire purposes.... something about stickies and launching that makes me want more clearance

I am considering lowering mine as well; looking at the Eibachs; HERE IT IS - why would you lower rear of the car .5 of inch less than the front? Is it that much higher to begin with? I guess if I just went out and looked at the car it would answer the question but it's late.

Well, I could be wrong, but I believe that "Intrax" was an old, old wooden ship used during the Civil War era.

i called sprint and they don't offer springs for my car. only 00 to 04. so i'm going with the eibachs. plus i got a good deal on them
