Guys, I did alignment recently, not too happy with it so I will take it to another shop soon. I wanted to lower the car a bit and play around with settings.
Should I lower the car and then have it aligned? or can I do it after as well?

Also, lower the rear sensor by taking the wheel off and reaching the mounting bracket? Or must I get under the car.

Thanks.

As long as the car is off you can get under it and move the sensor in the bracket and it won't sensor lower till you turn it back on. That's the way I did it at least.

Just make sure you don't tell them you've lowered it. I lowered my car and then got it aligned. Made a dumb mistake of telling them and they wouldn't even fix the alignment even though they took the money. I'm still pissed at them and when he told me "why do you people do that to your car blah blah blah you ruin it" After that I walked out cus he thought I lowered it by mods even though I tried to explain to him it's still the stock suspension. I just walked away... wanted to teach him a lesson but that would only lead to more issues. Just don't tell them you modified the suspension is the main point.

+100 have it aligned after you sensor lower it. when i lowered mine i worked at a dealership and i aligned it before and after (because i can) and it changed all the settings enough to wear your tires.

Thanks guys. I just want to lower it and inch or even less. Will do it prior to alignment.

guys i have a question. can you lower the car with out sensor lowering? what i mean to say is can you temporarily lower it. take the air out of the air suspension. i just want to see what it looks like.

lol, im looking to do it in a couple of minutes... not days LOL.

is there any thing i can do? other then "insert a steak knife into your air strut"

only thing with that is that ive had my jack git stuck under the car that way..

Go ahead and have it lowered by an inch or an inch and a half. You'll love it.Oh and put some bullit wheels on as well. You'll love that too.Our Gen 1s just look so much better that way.

Sensor lowering is quite easy. It takes all about 3 minutes if you know where it is just to do the front. It's just a bolt, undo it push sensor up tighten bolt back. By far the easiest and odds are you're not gonna want to turn it back to normal... I know you said any way other than sensor lowering but sensor lowering is the safest and easiest way.
