Low Miles CE Here in Houston

I saw this low mile CE just 10 minutes from my house. It for sale at a used car lot. I just got back, and this is one clean car. It has 82k miles. The car has been converted to springs already, the neon doesn't work, there are some missing power window buttons on the driver's side. This is a non sunroof Mark. I already explained to them about the wheels being on backwards. :p They are trying to get $4500 for it. I know they will sell for less.

I don't think low milage means anything for a mark viii. I've seen high milage marks look as good as a low milage mark and have less problems. That mark looks like poop. White marks are ugly.

They should knock at least $1000 off for all the things wrong with it. Nothing unfixable, but that's gonna need some work to get it to where a CE with that kind of mileage should be.

Sadly, if I know anything about car lots they won't budge on that price until it sits on the lot for a month or two. Shame, it would be nice if someone on here could grab it and fix it up.
 
not bad for 4500 you get a white mark VIII with nasty head lights, non working neon, fuse panel door is gone, gas door fell off the car, busted pass side vent, i'm sure the blend door is broken too, but overall not too shabby. what makes a C.E worth more than any other mark VIII? its the same exact car, with 2 different colors on the leather, and a wood shifter and partially wooden steering wheel, other than that its just a mark VIII? i have never understood the hype over owning a C.E.
 
$2500 car at most IMO. I don't think I have ever seen a Mark VIII with the gas door missing before. The car has potential, but at 5K it better be mint.
 
The cover is in the trunk. Apparently it separated. Other than that, this car looks pretty good. That's the problem with buying Marks from dealers, we know what we would pay for a Mark. The prices prices we have in our heads are for private party sales. I paid $2500 for my CE last year. Look for this Mark on Ebay in a couple of weeks where I suspect it will sell for $5000. :p
 
even on ebay, sitting like that, and if they say all the things that are wrong, no way not 5 g's. but like 95% of dealers who sell cars on ebay, they wont say whats wrong with it, they will say what is good with it, and someone will buy it and find things wrong and get all pissed, leave the seller a neg feedback, then the seller will change their seller name and start over lol. its a vicious cycle.
 
CE are cool and don't forget it has a CE emblem on the door skins and they did come with silver bars. Your lucky if your CE still has them.

big deal i could rivet some roush tags on my car it wouldnt make it worth 3 times more than any other mark VIII out there lol!!
 
Stick some tags on it. Don't hate participate. So I guess the non-lsc mark have some hype since they have more chrome. I rather get rid of my CE and get a lsc. I don't like the wood and two tone seats
 
i didnt say i dont like the C.E, i do like them, but i see them as any other mark VIII, i dont think the shifter and steering wheel make the car collectible, because if you take them out, all you have is another mark VIII. so whats so collectible about it vrs any other mark VIII. if i was after a collectible mark, i'd buy a spring feature 98 and stick it away somewhere, oh wait, i already had one lol, and to me it wasnt any more exotic than any other mark. those were the rarest ones of all, i cant see these ever being a true collectible car. none of them are going to survive that long.
 
lmao, ultimatesvt has one. i have some panther edition badges in a box in my garage they came off a black on black gen 1 with a black landau top on it, so hideous.
