What is the best way to get low end hole shot torque out of the mark viii? I have put in 4:10 gears , jmod and an sct tuner preformance tune. I just think there is more there somewhere.

4200 should bang it out of the hole... I'd suggest a diff brace

how high 3500, 3800?

For an all motor Mark8, I was suggested 3600-3800 stall range. Remember the driveability is different and gas mileage will be worse, but it will make a HUGE difference out of the hole. Personally, I think 4200 is a bit high for an all motor Mark.

Here are a few videos of mine with a 3800 stall:

WOT in my all motor 98 Mark8 - YouTube

Rolling burnout into 2nd gear- all motor 98 Mark VIII (crappy video) - YouTube

i'm thinking ... a tr3650 with the "adjustable" stall speed.. yep. should do nicely.

but before that, i was thinking 3600 stall.

Higher stall TC, advancing the CL's of the cams (though if I was going that far, I wouldn't stick with the stock cams), PD SC...

For bang for the buck you can't beat a stall. 4k+ seems like overkill unless you track the car a lot. 3600 seems to be the sweet spot for street driven performance stalls.
