hey everyone im new to this forum but i joined because it looked like you really now what your are talking about and was just wondering if someone could help me out with this problem

today i was driving down a quiet little backroad doing around 50 on a 35 as i came over a hill i seen a local police officer sitting on the side of the road i knew he was going to pull me over so at the next stop sign i turned and drove very slowly and sure enough he turned on the lights and pulled me over doing 51 in a 35 this is a 4 point violation but it was my second offense on probationaries (i was pulled over on a similar road doing 52 in a 35 witch is also a 4 pointer) witch means in wisconsin that it is doubled witch puts me at 12 points is there any way around this or am i going to have to lose my liscence and my job...hell i might even have to ride the bus to high school now

ps even tho it was posted 35 it wasnt residential all summer homes with very long driveways im not that careless

Take it to court. I got pulled over by Milwaukee Sheriff's for 16 over and got it reduced to speedometer violations. For another hundred dollars added to the fine could have dropped it to parking in a No Parking zone. Legalized Bribery. They just want the money.

well after you lose it and have to wait forever to get it back and pay all kinds of fines, you might not be so heavy foot anymore. i was the same way in high school till i lost mine for a year and had to pay over 1200 in fines, i havent even been pulled over in over 10 years now. this will be a learning experience for you i hope!!

thanks man i work hard and have alot of money saved up ill take it to court and pay the cash and as for the reply above me trust me man no more speeding hell probebly drive under the limit for a while

for a while

You better make that a long while, take it court. Chances are even if you lose your license they'll stick you with SR-22 Insurance even while you don't have the license. You're better off to pay the extra money now and save a lot of money on insurance in the future.

alright it was the school police officer that stopped me i have a meeting set up with him on wed and the court date is march 10th

i love my car and driving and i rarely drive more then 7 or 8 mph over the limit i really really appreciate all the help guys

Don't speed, but if you can't help it, get a Valentine One (or equivalent) Awesome bits of kit, once you know how to use them correctly.

yea my firend has one wired to the top driverside of the window love how they give you the direction of the threat...by far one of the best radar detectors ive ever seen

Quin first problem is you are in Sheboygan Co. That's where I got my first speeding ticket. (I'm from TR) Felt like they were going to take me out and shoot me. (Shut up KK)

Take it to court you may get things settled so you don't lose the DL.

A good friend of mine just got a big one should have lost DL .. Got away just a fine no loss of points

Gotta love speeding :-D

Ya fight it in court...I actually go with Pre-Paid legal cause for 18bucks a month you gain access to a WIDE variety of lawyers for a discount price and for an extra 5 bucks a month you get Identity protection...they'll even pause all your credit cards for you the moment you give them the word....so no need for calling EVERYONE :P

Best of luck man.....and if you wanna learn how to control your lead foot like I had to...try putting an egg under the gas pedal.......you'll learn quickly that way :-D

Go to court with your fingers crossed. Tell them you got a good paying job you cant screw up and try to have cash on hand to at least make a big payment on what ever fines they tack on. I dont know how it will work for you. Here in my area the judge can strip your DL away but even if they don't local DOT still can.

Might be best for you to get a work license if they allow you since I dont know what job you have. In some cases they wont let you get one depending on what the vehicle is used for. In most cases if its just a simple retail they wont give a work license. You may also have to many points.

in my area I can fight it to keep my license but they will give me points, in some cases if you dont fight and allow them to strip you DL they wont give you points. Sounds like you have a record of this so they might even take your DL and give you points either way.

You cant ever tell until you go to court.

But I have to say, you do the crime you do the time.

Good luck Quinn04,
Traffic court isn't that bad.
You get enough tickets you will stop speeding.
I can't tell you how many times I was in traffic court.
Bloomington....St louis park....Mpls, cops would love to nail me for 4 to 5 tickets a shot.

I look back at it now.... my buddies and I are lucky to be alive...the crap we used to pull on the street, it was insane.

yea the sheboygan county police are strict as hell i have been to two rivers (i take it thats what you mean by tr) you guys have a real nice place there i just hope i dont lose my licence or else i might have to sell my car but i guess it was my own stupid fault

just wondering is traffic court just a simple sit down with a judge or what. i kinda want to get preparred for it

It all depends.

If you dont settle on anything at the JP you might have to go to county. Then depending on how they handle it you stand in front of a judge.

Trust me, not that I had many tickets but I had plenty of petty fines in general.

It is likely the judge will ask how and when you plan on paying the fines. Tell him/her you do have a job and try your best to have as much money on hand. They like that, especially if you can pay it all in one sum that day.

Actually its also likely the judge will ask if you have a job flat out. Dont be alarmed, they like to pry!

I don't even want to think about how many tickets I have gotten and how much $ it cost me. Lets just say that I have paid enough to fix a sh*tload of roads here in the suburbs of philly:)

its all good guys meet with the officer and he told me he will be able to take the points offbut i have to attend a drivers saftey class for 3 saturdays and i only have 2 points on my licence now so thanks for all the help guys just gotta obey the laws for a year now lol
