It happened last night and now just this morning. Each time, I was going around 5 mph and turning right. Then all of a sudden it would lose power for a split second and then come right back on. I'm eating right now, but will go out and pull the hood and check cables. Any other ideas?

Thanks for any help.

id say cables or maybe there is a loose plate inside the batt and when you turn it shorts out a cell......(ive seen it) got another batt to swap with for a day?

I can get one chicken. I'm heading out right now to look over the cables. While I've got you, I read your post in my other thread and you took the words right out of my mouth. I joined back in 05, but I was looking around in the shadows from pretty much the beginning. I have meet a lot of great people on here. I have a response I'm going to put on that other thread soon. I hope you'll check it out and let me know what you think.

Slowmkviii, I'm not sure I can give you much more info. What I wrote is it in a nut shell. It is like it's losing contact for just a second, then comes right back on and is good for a while. Then it did it again this morning, just for a blink of the eye it would lose power (Electrical) light's go off, then right back on. I'm going to go look it over and I'll post what I find.

Thanks for the input guys

Well, Again, thanks for the timely reply's guys. I think it was my+ cable. It was just a little lose. It is so odd though. I haven't undone my positive side of the battery in over a year. It must have gradually worked itself lose. The battery is nice and clean, ow well. I'm heading out for the links for a round of golf, hopefully I wont have any issues. have a great day y'all!

Losing the positive on the battery shouldnt lose all power if the car is running. The alt should have enough juice so that its not noticable. I would check the alt too to make sure its working correctly.

I had the same problem but a lot more severe (Electrical died for a short time but it happened all the time). I ended up having to replace the positive terminal as the original was very corroded and no longer making good contact.

+100 When mine lost power, it was because the alt had been going bad slowly but surely since the day I bought the car and then finally it did and all i was running off of was the battery. I didn't know this until I noticed slow moving windows and the air ride sounding like it was struggling to pump the car up. Next thing I know, everything inside starts blinking off and on and then it died. AutoZone (manager) took my check card # over the phone and let an employee bring me a new battery. He even installed it and that gave me enough juice to go and get a new alternator. Now it's all good.
