ASMI Intake w/ Bassani 4820 Mufflers & 2.5" Magnaflow 10791 X-pipe
 
bassani are the best sounding ones , im buying Mlaras ones, how long have you had yours BigRig?
 
just finished second season on them.
 
Ghost LS8 that sounds pretty good! Do you guys think just a magnaflow muffler will make it sound anywhere near that? Also putting just a magnaflow muffler will not reduce performance will it? On that video he says he has custom 2.5" piping and no rear muffler , what is the stock piping on the LS? Also he said rear muffler delete, will it pass inspection like that?

Also @ Bigrig will a good intake help the exhaust sound better?
 
he has a magnaflow muffler and xpipe with 2.5 pipes , you have 2 inch pipes so you would have to change your pipes to 2.5 , he still has a muffler its just in the middle instead of the rear , and yea a cold air intake would make it growl when you step on the gas
 
It does sound like it wakes it up BigRigLS! Might put that on my list before an exhaust. Slowly progress into this car. What do you think of resonators delete, putting in x pipe and then glass packs? Will that reduce performance or would it keep it the same?
 
Don't know about glass packs, never messed with those on any car I've owned.

Doing the resonator deleted has some concerned about an interior drone, I don't think it's much of a drone at all and don't mind the sound at all.
as a matter of a fact at any RPM I hold it at I do not get that numbing drone feel/sounds as others have discribed. The X pipe will certaintly do it justice.

Honestly, even just a plain muffler replacement will add some fun. Several members on here have opted to replace the stock mufflers with Magnaflows and left it at that.
 
Bassani has the best sound if you can afford it. I cheapest out with mine and had AP Exhaust. I couldn't pass up $30 per muffler. It actually ended up being a nice mellow tone.
 
JMT your car sounds great. $30 is really affordable too! Do you have x-pipe on it, or did you put just the mufflers on?
 
I just had the stock mufflers cut off and the Jones welded on with the stock tips. they are stainless mufflers just not all polished up cor anything. My plan is to re do the whole exhaust this spring with larger tubing and an X pipe but this was pretty economical at this point.
