yea....I ordered it from the rockauto.com for a fraction of the stealership...I am gonna change the valve cover on that side also too...its smoking every once in a while....I changed the other a week ago...

that is not correct.

This is correct :

Rear of engine (cowl)
4 8
3 7
2 6
1 5
Front of engine (grille)

lol...well 8 is still in the same spot...so its cool....yea as soon as i changed the right hand valve cover which was pretty easy thanks to this forum..the left went bad this seems to be a little bit more difficult but I know it can be done.....not 800 bucks worth..

hell no i did it myself about a month ago (same side) it wasnt all that bad just took time n patience o and that pos oil filler is a bitch to get off
broke mine tryna do it but they were cheap enuf so F it lemme kno if u run into trouble i will help the best i can and the other people can help even more

I seen pictures of that on here before...so I do have to take the oil filler off to change the valve cover gasket? damn.....how long did it take you??? that was my first time ever working on a car..with proper instructions anyone can do what the stealership does...I did the right hand side with no problem no leaks and ran well until the other one started leaking and misfired my number 8.....

yea cuz ur gonna have metal brake (i think ) lines right ontop that i didnt reall kno if i could mess with or not so u gotta kinda slide it out hense u must remove filler but dont worry man it took about 3 hrs a twelve pack and about 5 trips to the can and it was also my first time doin that type of fix
not that bad just alot in the way

cool imma break it down friday morning and hopefully get it done in a few hours..once I get it off I will be fine, puttin it back will be no problem....just made another post you know where I can get a cheap grille tired of the stock one..

if u run into prolems pm me and ill give u my cell number wat model u got lse or ls im about to just put the lse grille on my ls i think the mclaren takes the luxury out of the car trendz are ok just a lil to thin for me and the mesh.......
its mesh
i would love the oem grille in all chrome but u have to make it and im not gettin myself into that

lol...I just want the grill I don't have time to make it cool...so yea i will PM you friday so if I have any problems I can hit you up...I have the LS...not he LSE....what's the difference anyways:confused:

Ok...I see the variation between the two...I already put those headlights in the stove and took those ugly orange reflectors out...

yeah..they sealed really well...I was kinda skeptical at first but I had that leak so I had to do something so I pull them out and didn't break them I think I still have them around here somewhere..it most definitely looks better without em tho..

wat did u set ur oven on and how long did u cook them
then how long did u cook them to heat back up and reseal
alot of questons srry
i think u might of just motivated me to try it out

If I can remember I think it was 350.......or maybe it was 250...lol but when it gets warm the sealant will get loose...you have to take the clamps off the bottom they will be a little snug then they will come right off...just monitor them...dude this job doesn't take anytime to do...it looks way better too!!!

once you have them apart take the silver part out of the lighting part and you can put new sealant on there or you can use the old sealant on there and heat the sealant a little so it can get back soft...you won't be able to put them right back on after taking the orange reflectors out because it will be back hard or you could scrap that off and put some more on there...then you will be able to do it...its only three bolts holding the light in...PM me and I will walk ya through it...
