What do you guys thing? I have been debating weather or not
to remove the 'LINCOLN LS' lettering from the rear end of my car.
Opinions and photos welcome.

noooooooo!!!!!

it is a very 'clean' look - but not enough people know what an LS is ------ !!!!

I say re-arrange it.

Take the letters and have fun.
NINCOL SL ( a stop smoking drug play)
CONLIN SL (an irish/scottish play)
COLLINS N (an irish play)
SINLINC LO (a korean play) :)

These are just a few of the possibilities! :)

Trebor.

i would say leave it on looks clean like that taking it off in my own opinion is like being ashamed of saying you have an ls

leave them on... people with like Hyundais or suttin are usually the people who debadge their cars... you gotta be proud to be drivin the LS

I think you guys are right. I am proud to drive the LS! And I do get asked what it is on a regular basis. I have seen others with the emblems removed and a full custom look and really liked that look but dont want to go overboard with it all. Thanks for your input. I'll keep 'em!

If you REALLY must do something with the badging. Get it plated or painted in a different color OR change their position

Speaking of which, I was in a parkinglot a couple months ago and saw and old Kia sitting next to my car. I looked at the back and noticed it had a Lexus badge on it, and its very own...IS470 on the back. SO I walked around the car and on the front there was a lexus badge nailed (literally) ontop of the KIA front emblem. I had to laugh at this car. I should have gotten pictures.

I don't see much point. I think this little fad started with BMW 316i owners who didn't want people to know that they couldn't afford and/or weren't driving a 330i.

But then again, the markings on your car betray the fact that you drive a V6 rather than a V8...

You should keep them...whenever I see a nice car (or truck) without the logos I always wonder if they have been 'touched' up after a fender bender and the shop/owner didn't care enough to get the lettering again, so they just left it blank or introduced some bondo. Probably completely offbase with that line of logic, but there it is anyway.

If you debadge it, it will look like that car from the commercial where he follows the GPS directions and turns into a building.
I've seen that one. I noticed immediately that it was an LS. And a v6 LS at that since the 03+ v8 does not have a chrome bumper and that one had 2 strips just like mine :) . It was missing the lincoln emblem from the grill too...

I didnt know where it started but I do understand the logic in it all. I am in no way ashamed of my car but it does give away the smaller engine to those who might know what to look for (which will not be many). I have thought about enhancing the lettering but havent found any lettering I liked. I do like the cobra coiled around the Lincoln emblem. I think it came off the Marks.

Take Them Off!!

If people dont know what you drive it THIER fault besides the "lincoln" emblem is still above the tag. Look at my photogallery
